Lets see:

Billionaires, boosters, etc. = Operating capital

Tickets, concessions, goods, etc. = Operating revenue

Operating capital dictates the decisions, revenue is the result from good decisions.

didnt we have billionaire boosters when Fulmer was let go?

didnt we have billionaire boosters when Kiffin left?

where was their influence then?

they will choke in the second half against USC, just bad coaching

Agreed. I think they will be down 7-10 going into half-time, and expect the VOLS to be held to a three, and out their first possession, while USCjr marches down the field and scores on their first, effectively opening up the flood gates.

Alright everyone, show's over. Nothing to see here. Move along.

Let's all go speculate about how many years it will take Charlie Strong to get us competitive. I say 2017 is our year. Any takers?

My sources say that Bobby Patrino is the new head coach at UT.

My sources are all on the UT Volleyball team.

Take it a 99.9% true.

Hence the question: who actually makes this decision? Hart or three billionaires?

So...

didnt we have billionaire boosters when Fulmer was let go?

Who really made that decision you think? Imma go with the operating capital guys.

didnt we have billionaire boosters when Kiffin left?

Noone saw that coming, even the operating capital guys.

where was their influence then?

Pretty sure money makes the calls here...

I believe the boosters were split on the firing of Fulmer and some of them took their ball and went home. When kiffin left I think they were wanting Hammy to continue to sink.

The prevailing sentiment that I've heard is it was a combination of dislike of Hamilton as an AD and dislike of the hires of Kiffin/Dooley.

Donations and attendance aren't compulsory. They won't donate if they don't approve of the state of the program... same as attendance in the stands.

I looked up figures and our AD revenue has dropped almost $15,000,000 since Dooley got here. And those were Kiffin numbers... and he was also polarizing in terms of fan/booster support.

Gruden would be an absolutely galvanizing hire for UT. I wouldn't be surprised if revenues would jump by $20-25mil which would be in line with what Bama saw when Saban was hired.
