I want Charlie Strong after Gruden. Gator fans will hate the hire and for good reason. With the UT resources to back him he would be hell. And he would go crazy in Florida recruiting. Those are my two I want. And I like Shaw from Stanford. That's another pretty good coach that is winning and recruiting well.

I agree. If Dooley is done, I'll be fine with Gruden or Strong. Anything beyond that is probably neither realistic nor worth it JMO.

Dooley hasn't beaten an actual real rival(Kentucky and Vandy don't count) yet and he lost to Kentucky. Fate is sealed......and should be. Bama game was ridiculous from a coaching standpoint.

Haven't had 8 wins since 2007.. Surely something to consider before making a drastic move.

Splash hire just feels like one we made in 2009 to lower the pitchforks outside the gates. Thinking this might be a feeler to see what the reaction might be, just before the biggest game to date, before making a move..

Guys, I just realized the whole problem this season has been me growing out my mustache. I am a Caucasian male under the age of 40, and I don't watch NASCAR. I had no business growing this damn fu manchu, but I threw caution to the wind.

Sounds reasonable but has he done that much at UL? I mean I know he may have some winning season and goes to mid bowls, but hasn't really had a huge season has he?

My apologies to all also. I'm punch drunk from all of this.

It just doesn't make sense. Why the rush? The last time he was interested but he wasn't the only guy we talked to. And why this early? He is not going to come in and coach the Troy game. If OCI or any other rumor is right, it usually takes more than a day or two to even read through the contract once, much less make adjustments, send it back and have UT look it over and make other changes.

None of this makes sense except in the microwave world.

yeah, nothing will be announced until after we lose another one, if we lose another one. premature. dooley will be coaching until the last game
