Was over in the FF and saw that Donte Stallworth tweeted this:

"So Jon Gruden is going back to UT to coach my #Vols? We talked about UT briefly in preseason. It was clear he still had love for UT. #GoVols"

How the hell would he have heard that?

Stallworth did a follow up tweet saying he was seeking conformation.

If this happens, I think we finish our class top 5! (Ramsey and everyone else will want to be here) #Iwanttobelieve

Yes can't stand that guy who coached UT during the best years the program has ever had.
This program is in the shape that it is in largely because of Fulmer. He took over a strong program and ignored it after reaping success.

W/e man, guy has a couple bad years and you write him off as the only person in the world who you wouldn't support as the coach of UT. Crazy. Fulmer is the main reason the entire country knows UT. We were mediocre for 30 years before his run in the late 90s. He's the reason 8 and 4 isn't good enough AT UT. Before him we were almost always 8 and 4.

Along with most other insiders in the gruden thread.. SBV also said randy shannon is our next DC. Don't believe anything until you see it ppl. That thread has got to be one of the craziest in VN history.

Coming off a NC in 98, why would the program fall into disarray within a decade and on his watch? Two losing seasons out of four. THere have nit been many Fulmer players making a difference since Kiffin was here. His last two recruiting classes were horrid when it came to production. It was definitely time to acid wash the vestiges of his regime.

2 bad years out of how many?

Why would he even have one losing season with everything that he had at his disposal?

The losing was all on him and it was all because he dug a deep hole that he couldn't dig himself out of. He got lazy in his recruiting and failed to hire the best staff that he could have.

Our 1st losing season was 7 seasons after we won. Hate Fulmer all you like, but it wasn't an immediate downhill slide.

LWSVOL has thrown a lot of gasoline on the Gruden fire, however on TOS, he had this to say today:

(a) he does not think Hart would hire anyone before Dooley is dismissed
(b) he thinks it is highly unlikely that Gruden will be the head coach at UT

Why would LWS say this so soon after he had all but said that Gruden was coming to UT?

I do not believe all this talk about Gruden...call me a Debbie Downer...but I just can't with VN's history of being very wrong about things like this.

well the Gruden thread is ready to burn couches and hoist the crystal ball.

I still think if we beat South Carolina and find a way to win out Dooley will be retained.

As I have said, I think Tennessee if they make a change will make a real run at Gruden and would make him say no.

I do believe that Gruden will and is researching the situation if it were to come open.

But to say something is done is not correct in my opinion based on all that I am told today and the last few days.

Hubbs

Hubbs is controlled by the AD, so he wouldn't come out and confirm, if they didn't want him to.

Not saying it's 100% done deal.

I know for a fact Donte Stallworth and crew didn't lose to Michigan in the postseason. This list is flawed man looking over it.

Didn't he say Gruden is Hart's number 1 guy. That if we do make a move we'll make an offer to Gruden that he cant say no?

Latest breaking news:
Hart resplits AD; he becomes Lady Vols AD
Dooley promoted to Men's AD

Hires
Archie Manning as HC
Who already has
OC Gruden
DC R Shannon

Retains all other staff x for CJC

UT sets record for staff salary @19.5 M before bonus stuctures.

Book it :)
