You know more than I do, and I do believe that you have some connections (which beats anything I pretend to have), but I find it hard to believe that Hart is in anyway directly connected to this... In other words, I don't believe that Lamonte would have contacted Hart directly.. All of this stuff has to be taking place through back channels unless you want some type of Auburn fiasco leaking through.. It's just bad business to be this cavalier and open about your coaching search to be directly connected to it..

Not necessary when folks like Bobby Petrino are not involved.

In the end, though, it's obvious that we have to spend money to make money.

An extra $100,000 per assistant could be the difference between a #3 class and a #13 class. With that gulf that could be the difference in 5-6 wins over 4 years.

Wins make money. Give Gruden what he needs to succeed or don't offer him the job.

You don't buy a Ferrari and then start trying to go cheap on the leather seats. You go whole hog or not at all.

the money paid will be made up in the first couple of months if Gruden is named. Hart knows that

Ok that's hilarious

Kinda feel like if Dools coaches the rest of the season with his notice in hand that its over, the buyout for him drops to 4Mil. It also allows Grude to recruit etc. because Dools has been notified.

Can you not see the "I just gave you 7 years, 7 million per" look on Hart's face when Chucky brings up assistant salary though?

We need it get it done, but I can see why Hart would be squirming in his chair though.

When you buy a house you're squirming in your chair because of the intangibles, but when you kick back in the living room of your new house, you go "Man, it was worth it."

Salary is agreed upon. Was done over a week ago. Details of control, staff salary, recruiting budgets, that is what I was told is being discussed. Again, that was about 10 days ago.

I'm sure there is other stuff. That's just what I know.

This is absolutely accurate.

You're saying people that support the team during turmoil like this are part of the problem? SMH

I will go to every home game, always. If you think that's a problem, gtfo.
You guys and your true fan card checking. Blindly following and supporting a proven loser that keeps dragging the program down deeper into the depths is as big of a problem as Dooley himself. As for telling people like myself to gtfo? That won't be a problem. At least you will be able to sit amongst your closest bama, Florida and Georgia friends while they laugh hysterically at the product the man you blindly support puts on the field.

I thought Gruden would only be able to recruit if Dooley was replaced with an interim?

Someone said that Meyer was able to do it because Tressel was no longer coaching and that left a spot on the staff open. If Dooley is still on the sidelines, wouldn't our staff still be full?

This is right I would imagine. I guess the more accurate situation is this. I dunno...my Gruden activity ativan is catching up with me...

Yep.

I always want UT to win, but no way in hell will I support a staff that will continually lead us into defeat against our biggest rivals. In the case of Bama, it isn't even competitive. Hell, even KY has bragging rights on us right now.

The "true fan card" stuff is stupid.
