Go Vols!

Nothing would make me happier than to see Dooley win out and turn this thing around in the future. Nothing would make me sadder than to see him win out... and not turn this thing around in the future.

I haven't given up on him yet, but I can be pretty stubborn lol

imo he needs a good defense to practice against. He put in alot fo extra time during the off season with the wideouts. Losing DR was huge, like i said when it happened, we lost our best wr. DR by far and away ran the best routes, had the best hands and would never shy away from contact. #11 and #84 may have more upside, but #21 was the best wr on the team at the time and it wasnt close.

I think your second question falls on Chaney.

I was just thinking the other day how much we need a physical receiver to open up the middle of the field. JH11 avoids contact as much as possible, and CP84, for all of his talent, has not gone inside much and seems to need a bit more polishing.

I have seen Bray get suckered into some nasty disguised linebacker dropping back coverages. When I see that, I wonder who in the world could read that non-sense.

As much as I'd love it, I'm just not gonna get my hopes up on us getting Gruden. It's almost that it makes too much sense and it's too good to be true to happen to a team that I love.

Much like the Peyton to the titans rumor..him and his family loved the state, he vacations in east tn all the time blah blah blah.

I know some feelers have been thrown out, but i have not heard of any offers being made yet. But on the other hand, im sure if an offer was made, it would be kept quiet. If i knew of a offer, Dooley sure would know.

I have a serious loyalty trait/problem. I've been borderline depressed since this weekend, and as stupid as it sounds, I think a portion of it has to do with CDD's job uncertainty and my sense of obligation to support him in contrast with what we see on Saturdays.

Don't know where they come from skeeter. Ask the fine folks in the coaching speculation thread about it, because they're proclaiming all of the above as facts. I was saying that I don't believe a word of it.

yea but you know during the alabama game, the haslams were all calling gruden......

What is supposedly "out there" is anything but quiet. We have insiders running out of the woodwork like cockroaches when the lights come on. Everyone knows a booster now.

I'm in the same boat. As sad as it is, I still want Dooley to do well...even if we can him at the end of the season, and it's for the sole reason that he's OUR coach. I love UT football man, and as an extension of that I've defended Dooley from almost all of my friends for three years now, even when I knew I was likely wrong.

Trust me, I know how you feel!

I know alot of boosters too. Its possible they're keeping it quiet from people that work inside the ad. Hart is upset and was over heard saying we're no closer than 3 years ago, referring to Bama. This is just what i think. If Dooley is our coach next year, it will be because Hart couldnt get who he wanted. I feel as much as Hart likes Dooley, hes not sure he can get the job done. Harts #1 priority is to get football back to a championship level and hes made that well known. Hart is a smart guy and i think he'll make the right choice whatever that may be.

Not sure if I get what you are asking, but I am not saying that something out there is not true. It's just amazing how everyone seems to know, but even Skeeter doesn't know. Seems funny.

If you are saying that anyone who offers contradictory information in those threads is ridiculed, I agree. They have their circle jerk going on, and they can have fun with that.

Sorry guys, I'm pissed and kinda depressed. I need to chill a bit.

Your last sentence would've caused heart attacks by the dozen in the speculation forum.

Exactly where I stand. Maybe he can... but he has not given a lot of evidence to convince us of that. Unfortunately, he has had only 1/2 of a year to prove himself, with the last two having legitimate excuses. But fair enough, the time to shine was this year...

I am royally pissed at the disrespect shown to Dooley though. People have no freakin' gratitude.

True. But imo Sal to Dooley=Clawson to Fulmer. Not sure i would have totally jump on board with the 3-4 switch, we had a pretty good defense last year and it could have been even better this year. With a decent defense and i think we're sitting here with 1 loss.

I also thought the defense was ok, except for the depth. Who would have thought Sal would have been the thorn this year? We were thrilled to grab him.

Nick you gotta keep fighting the good fight brotha because your posts are doing a great job keeping me sane right now haha I can't put what i want to say in the right words but you have been doing a damn good job for me lately. On another note if my job ever checks my computer usage from this season I'm gonna need a recommendation from someone.

If he gets the chance, we may have a very good defense next year. Takes awhile to learn a totally new scheme. Plus i think we'll finally have some good dbs on the field next year, that will help alot. Im no coach, But im still all for Bonner to be on the field. Let him makes his mistakes and learn, it cant be any worse. Bonner gave DR and JH fits this summer in 1 on 1s. Dr would tap #10 and #23 on the head before he would break out of his route on 1 on 1s then make a catch. He couldnt do that stuff with Bonner.

Wilcox wasn't as bad as some on here made him out to be. The defense was solid, but lacked depth. This year we have better depth but the coaching was been bad. Sal just isn't adjusting well to what our opponents are doing.

I'm not sure if you saw it last night...but my rant was due to noticing the lack of integrity from this, albeit small portion, fanbase. It sickens me to see so much disrespect because of back bone-less rumors. The guy is trying run practice and gameplan sessions while people are "suddenly reminded" of transgressions in a hotel or light bulb department. Best thing to do is stay in the RF or away at the moment. Go Vols!

I get the feeling, Dooley could finally get it right next year. But, I cannot say that with confidence. So I am a silent observer. What happens, happens.

I can't handle reading stuff like this right now, just makes me think about what could have been this year. We need to see Bonner on the field soon, he can't be that bad in practice, not possible.

I agree completely. Bonner should have gotten playing time a while ago. Teague should have never received any playing time after watching him play corner the past few years. Why we started him over Coleman to start the season still baffles me.
