Honest question though. Is this the most complicated contract youve laid eyes on? Its a fairly simple contract, straightforward but it does leave wiggle room, any good contract does. Simpleton may not be the best choice of words (as in implying the writer was a simpleton, which it was not meant to).

No, it's not the most complicated contract I've ever seen (or written for that matter), but it doesn't need to be. There will always be terms in a contract that are subject to interpretation. First of all the program talent wise is in MUCH better shape than during any talks they had with him before. Second, you have the "we are just little old Tennessee why would he want to come here attitude". We have a great fan base, the best facilities and billionaires getting serious about football again.

Lol, if you had read the thread you would realize that Haslam and other donors are pitching in to buyout Dooley and make Gruden an offer. Also, ESPN has confirmed that Gruden is interested, our offer is a little of 5 mil a year, he loves UT, we have talent now that we didn't three years ago, OH and we were looking at possible sanctions from the NCAA. If I was Gruden it be tough for me to accept a job at any university that was in that situation, plus at the time Mike Hamilton was in, and he was being cheap. He wouldn't shovel out money. MONEY TALKS.
