I am still 100% behind JH. The kid went through a tough injury last year. Anyone that has been through that will tell you that it takes a lot longer to get back mentally than it does physically. It would be great to see him stay another year and get back to 100% on both levels. There is no doubt he still has the ability.

Two months ago... I had never seen him drop a pass. I had seen him frequently make incredible catches. He didn't seem to be bothered by pressure.

Today, he's dropped several passes that could have literally changed the course of the whole season for UT. He has NOT gone aggressively after balls that he would have caught last year. He is NOT getting separation like he did previously.

The change in opinion is totally based on the change in his performance.

FWIW, he is the last one that needs to be talking about "family". He's been playing to stay healthy for the draft all year. At what point this year has he laid it all out for the "family"?

I just hope it was a player who called him on it prompting the tweet.

He's leading the team in receptions, yards, and receiving TDs. Not sure I follow where he's the problem. The QB is the one distributing the ball, and Bray has looked pedestrian at best against any SEC team, except Ole Miss his freshman year.

At least 5 drops that I can think of. He's disappeared against SEC defenses. He isn't getting separation even when he gets single covered. He isn't going aggressively after the ball when he has to make adjustments.

Bray has stunk it up but Hunter isn't playing even close to the level he was at in the first two years.

He's led the team in receiving yards, 3 of the 4 SEC games we have played. He also had an amazing catch against UF, going above 2 defenders, IIRC. The were going away from me in the stadium, so I didn't see perfectly.

What's the chance guy are losing faith in their QB? I recall when Simms was playing QB, alot of times guys acted like they were not trying. When the QB throws 1 good ball out of 5, it makes staying focused kind of tough IMO. "Is this the one"? Would Hunter and CP be open more if Bray looked somewhere else to throw it sometimes? Hunter has had his problems, but he is far from any of the big problems on this team.

i called him out on it on facebook. he simply sent me a message that said bye. please catch the ball regardless of getting hit!!!! stop worrying about the nfl and do your part to help the vols win out the rest of the season. if you don't dooley will be gone and if you play like have been your draft stock is only going down. thank you go vols!!!

my message was i want the vols to succeed and hunter as well. apparently he doesn't care. oh well. i was surprised he even responded. like i said his mom doesn't seem to happy with him at the vol walk.

The talking heads have been saying that for weeks. During the Bama game, they were talking about JH "pouting" when he didn't think he got the ball enough... then dropping it when it finally came his way. He has been inconsistent. He hasn't always looked like a first round pick. He hasn't played well in a lot of games. Just the truth.

To answer your question, Hunter has played like crap, and what Dooley said was the truth. However, would you tell your wife she is fat, even if she is?? If Dooley wants to call our Hunter in front of the players and coaches, I'm all good with that, but don't continue to throw the players under the bus, for his moment of truth. People say that fans hurt recruiting, I can't imagine what a comment like that does in the minds of a 17 year old kid.

I know wright if you are going to call out the players you better call out those questionable play calls and he never indicates he makes bad decisions at all. It's ok to call em sometimes but Come on man you are the HC some of it is on you:banghead2:
