Not to stick my nose in the middle, but I think RS was really close....

CDD is the one that said he never spoke to RS about the position i believe...

I think several boosters spoke with him, but CDD squashes it as he wanted CSS...


Other can correct me if I am wrong, but I think CDD and Thunder had a big falling out over it...

Unfortunately, the only way to ultimately judge the state of the program is the Wins & Losses. Everything else is subjective. And in that category, Dooley has done much worse than the coaches he followed.

As much as he may not be "the guy". I would never put "jacking up the program" at Dooley's feet. All bile aside, we still have lost to the #1, 2, 11 and 12 teams in the nation (as of yesterday). Our talent level is clearly increased over 3 years ago. Hoepfully the next guy can get the actual Ws.

bama went through 4 different coaches during their down time before grabbing cns. MAYBE we won't have to go through that many and we can grab our saban NOW! with the foundation that CDD has built, a top notch coach could have us in the hunt in 2 years probably. So......Go grab that big name coach!
