Football team will dedicate Saturday's game to Jay Rogers

Blackledge tweeted today about how he hoped the entire campus would know Jay's story. Is that who is doing the game tomorrow? If so, I bet Jay is mentioned.

Where did you see this? I am trying to find it. Awesome news!

This is awesome!Really put's things in perspective!Prayer's going out to Jay and the Rogers family. So proud of our team, former players, coaches and fan's!

Ive been so depressed past two weeks over my g/f ending things, and we are not even friends after today. After reading this story, and all the posts I feel bad for being upset over my situation. My thoughts go out to Jay,and his family.I will pass his story on to people I know who are real religious as I am not

I had a fourteen year old nephew die of cancer several years ago. Jay's story reminds me of him. Amazing the strength some of these kids have.

Jay's story has really inspired me this week. I sit and I think about all the bumps we hit thru life, and they pail in comparison to what Jay and his family have been fighting. This kid has the faith in Christ that I wish I had. What a testimony! Keep fighting Jay! Christ has your back!

GO VOLS!

Wasn`t going to post this, but this is the place for it.

Nobody I mean NOBODY was more pumped and ready for the Fla. game than I was. Our son and daugther-n-law went to the gameday show and later to the game. He called and sent pics telling how everyone was fired up. I was in front of the big screen ready to watch us beat the gators.

Halftime; phone rings all I hear is sobbing and someone trying to speak. It`s a young(18) girl from the Sunday School class my wife and I teach. Her best friend from high school had just been killed in a car crash, she asked if we would come open the church and talk with her and others who wanted/needed answers as why this had happen to someone so young. Of course we said yes and spent the next two hours praying, listening and talking to about a dozen young people.

I didn`t find out who had won the game until much later and it was not nearly as important as it once was. Football games are not life or death no matter much they may mean to us at the time.

Many have said on here that the story of Jay has put the bama game in perspective for them. I pray this is true.

Jay you and your family are in our prayers.

Herman Lathers, man.

I love that guy.

God help the person that complains about him at the game tomorrow.

Fight, Jay Fight.

Keep fighting Jay... stories like these really make you look at life from a different perspective. Prayers sent.

I only know Jay and his family through this facebook page but I will have to say, Jay, you have been such an inspiration to me and my family. Like many other people that have posted on this page, we are Vol's fans and we enjoy watching the games. All of us have our favorite sporting teams and players that we enjoy following week to week. The one thing I take from Jay is that he would like for u
s all to be apart of GODS Team. He is a strong member on GODS team and he has given of himself to help others in times of need and that is what he would want us all to do. To all the people that have reached out to Jay this week - THANK-YOU!! Jay, keep fighting the battle because you will win the victory!! Prayers to you and your family for peace and comfort.

Guys, when you put that jersey on today and hit that field against Bama, remember your pain will only last 60 minutes. Remember that what you do in that 60 minutes will ring a lifetime. Remember Jay, for he has endured a lifetime of pain and suffering, but continues to fight

When you face that Bama team today, lay it on the line like its your last day on this earth. Lay it all on the line for Jay and other kids who suffer from Cancer. Go out there and represent what it means to be a Volunteer and wear the Orange and White

Take it too Bama for 60 minutes and never give up. Never hang your head. Keep fighting and win the battle.

Jay has fought for 7 years when others had given up on him. He never stopped and fights to this day

Play 4 Jay

Go Vols!!!!
