Okay.

Gruden would IMMEDIATELY bring more interest to UT from recruits, potential assistants, and fans than Dooley has his entire tenure. He's essentially a celebrity now.

He's a tireless worker, when it comes to coaching. It's been said that he wants to recruit, and beat out the best programs in the nation.

His teams won their division 5 times and he has a superbowl ring, IN THE NFL. Jim Mora, Jr. is already doing well at UCLA, and he's had far less success in the NFL. Assuming Gruden wouldn't do well in college is pure ignorance, when he's already had success at the most difficult football league in the world.

And all this is why he better succeed from day one and time will not be given to him. He won't have to deal with foundation issues like Dooley has had to so no patience or excuses will be excepted. If Gruden is our coach next yr it will be WIN NOW or GTFO Chucky.

Time WILL be given to him, no matter what you think.

Why does this matter??? If the Grudenites get what they want then he better win big from day one. If he can't guarentee this then why the f*** should we bring him in!!?!?

Saban was a proven champion, and it still took him a year.

It takes a year to gel your staff. It takes a year to implement YOUR systems. It takes a year or coaches to change the demeanor of these kids , or better said takes a year for the PLAYERS to adjust.. We may still win 9 next year, tough ass schedule though IMO.

No, you just stop. I seriously wonder if you people will be as tough on Gruden as you have been on Dooley....

If you don't think Gruden would be a huge upgrade and statement hire for UT then I can't help you. If you have seen my history I said time after time the best case would be for Dooley to win. He hasn't, he won't and recruiting has gotten worse each year since he took over. I can bet Gruden would never lose to UK or MSU.

Why??? If he's soooooooo good and a given why does he deserve time??? You really think he will be given time if he's winning 8-9 games in his first 2-3 yrs?? He's going to be paid close to 3 times more than Dooley and you think he is going to be given time??? He doesn't deserve time and he won't be given it as much as you think he will. Also what makes you think he won't leave to the nfl and screw us over after a couple yrs??? Just that makes the move not worth it to me.

Personally I think Gruden has been acting like a little snake behind Dooleys back. He gets invited to campus by Dooley and now he is setting him up by building up all this hope that he'll come here.

I can care less. He's going to be paid 5+ mil in his first yr. like I said in a previous post 9+ wins in his first yr minimum. If Y'all want results right now then yalls replacement better produce them ASAP!!! No excuses!!!

Dooley could win and this wouldn't be an issue. How much time should Dooley get? How many losses are too many? How has Gruden acted like a snake? Stockholm syndrome has set in on some.

You answered your own question.

He's going to be given time, because they know he'll succeed. Dooley doesn't have a winning track record, like Gruden. His team would also show tremendous improvement.

The rest is either hypothetical or doesn't make any sense, so I'll just leave it at that.

Good thing our AD won't be thinking like that, 'cause he'd get fired as well!

Didn't say he wouldn't be an upgrade. Hell, at this point I don't think Dooley is the guy based on the results. But I'm going to support the team to the bitter end. I'm only saying that if hes such an upgrade, he'd better prove it in a hurry.

GBO!!! It will be exciting if it happens.

Then I hope we don't land them. Rather have Dooley gone, and them go elsewhere, than have Dooley stay and bring them here to waste more talent.

Recruiting only matters if you have someone that can coach them, we don't. We will never contend in the SEC with Dooley on our sideline, it's time to move on.

As far as Green goes, obviously I want him in Orange, but I'd rather have Dooley fired.

Hopefully we make a good hire, and Green commits to the new coach.

If it makes you feel better, sometimes players actually commit to play for the University, the coach.

Because Hunter and CP have had their talent fly so far under the radar. At least come up with a decent argument if you're going to make a dumb statement.

You're funny I'm being negative in what way? I said what do you want him to endorse. I'm not going to lie to myself and say he needs to endorse a coach that hasn't won games he should win. But where have I said fire Dooley? Where have I posted we'll lose Saturday? Oh okay you can go sit down now.

Looking back, he has lost one game he should have won(last weekend). After South Carolina he would have played 15 top 20 in three years. 9 of those 15 were top 10. If Mississippi State makes the top ten, that would be 10 top ten teams.

We need an ignore button from mobile. This is one of the dumbest things I've ever read on this website. Codyg rejoice.
