Am I the only one that thinks that this game is gonna have to look like a matchup between WVU and Oregon for us to have a shot at winning??? I would love to say it would be a defensive game like the first half last yr but neither can afford to be conservative this yr IMO. Especially us. Bray, CP, JH, and Rivera better play knowing that every NFL scout in the NFL is watching this game....cause they are!!! Mainly because of Bama as a whole but they are watching those 4 too to see what they can do vs future NFL talent. Let's hope they live up to the talk this wknd.

Let's go Dooley's Vols!!! Buck Fama!!!

The only way we win is if our defense steps it up, because I don't think we are going to score more than 3td's on their defense plus some field goals which would put us in the 24-27 score range.

AJ is a very efficient passer. We can't simply bank on him being the weak link. I agree, we will have to stack the box most of the game. Bama's TEs could really hurt us in the pass game because we have yet to have an LB that can match one.

I agree with most of your post; however, I think AJ is definitely a game manager at best, IMO. Even in HS when he was forced to carry a team his decision making got erratic to say the least.

Anybody else think we haven't seen the end of conference expansion nationally & possibly in the sec?

Yes once a conference gets a bigger TV contract yrs before ours can be renegotiated. It'll be the big 12 at some pt but they r going to disturb the lower ranks which won't bother the big conferences. So at the end of the day it'll be about the TV money. The Pac12 is currently the conference on our heels. Their commish is young and fresh. Ours is getting old and will retire at some pt too. So let's see who comes in after Slive.

This is just all IMHO that's all...

I believe our SEC West opponents will be as follows:

2012 - Bama, @ MSU
2013 - @ Bama, Auburn
2014 - Bama, @ Texas A&M
2015 - @ Bama, Mississippi
2016 - Bama, @ LSU
2017 - @ Bama, Arkansas

What do you think about next year's schedule? i just looked and we are playing oregon the in the usual florida spot and it's TBA after that. i doubt they would play them that week, so it would be after the georgia game. i guess we'll find out at 3.

If he can land some those two and another impact D commit or two by the end of the season and finish 7-5 I can see how Hart could sell an upward trend and give him one more year.

Hart is watching Dooley's recruiting as much as he is watching the improvement on the field. Recruiting is the life blood to success in the SEC. Dooley's ability to bring in top-notch talent is a big part of coaching. It's amazing at how good of a coach you can be if you have elite talent.

What? You mean Les Miles doesn't win all those games thanks to his keen coaching expertise?

If we get LSU again next year, I dont know who could coach a winning season with that. LSU, Bama, and Oregon. Adding to this a rebounding Florida. Whoever coaches next year is going to have it rough.
