From Rivals:

Ohio State is one of three early verbal offers for Chubb.

"I have offers from Tennessee, Purdue, and Ohio State," Chubb said. "I'm also hearing from Alabama."

The state of Georgia is always an important territory for the Tennessee football program and Chubb is planning on checking out Knoxville at some point.

"I like Tennessee," he explained. "I haven't been able to get up there yet. I know they are having a bad season but I've been there too with having a bad season so I know there is no way to go but up after that."

Though they haven't offered yet, the Crimson Tide also have Chubb's attention at this time, due in large part to the success of the program and the running backs that have come through recently.

"(On Alabama) I really like the running backs that have come out of there," he said. "They're No. 1 right now so you can't do any better than that."

Chubb's high school team will not be qualifying for the playoffs which could free him up to take a couple of visits, though he may have to wait until after the college football season.

"I'm going to try and go to Ohio State and Tennessee but I don't know when," he said. "It could be towards the end of the season or after the season."

Nick Chubb had a really good day running the ball and he has an offer from the Vols and it wouldn't surprise me if he really blew up after this event. Tennessee was in on him early so that one's going to help.

Cedartown in up in NW Georgia. It is only about 3 hours from Knoxville if proximity is a factor.

Talked to running back Nick Chubb and he's very interested and high on the Vols right now. They were his first offer and he spoke to Butch Jones and a number of coaches on the staff a few weeks ago and has a good relationship with Jay Graham. He's the best running back I've seen in the two days here. Runs really hard and has a quick burst. Has a few other offers including Ohio State, but I'd be surprised if he doesn't draw a lot of attention over the next month.

From RisingSeniors.com:

A star was born on Friday with RB Nicholas Chubb of Cedartown (247sports) MVP, OFFENSE Nicholas Chubb, RB, Cedartown: Everybody wondered whether Chubb was the “real deal” or another small-town superstar who posted big numbers against weak competition. The 5-11, 210-pounder is actually better than advertised. He simply dominated the Friday session. “He reminds you of an Alabama tailback; he’s got big legs, he’s hard to tackle, he runs hard and he runs behind his pads,” said Sandy Creek coach Chip Walker, the West’s head coach. Chubb has early offers from Georgia Tech, Tennessee, Purdue, and Ohio State. But if he has another day like Friday, his life will radically change. He’s likely the No. 1 RB from Georgia for the 2014 class, and will now appear in national rankings. Chubb is childhood fan of UGA.

According to the AJC, Chubb grew up being a Dawg fan.

If UGA grabs another quality RB or two, it won't matter. At some point your depth chart at RB will be too much to overcome, and 2014 is probably the year considering the classes your current backs and commits will be.

Hopefully that means as much as kids that grow up tn fans because we never lock those down. Everyone grows up a fan of someone and goes to school elsewhere. You just never know with what a kid values

The AJC?? What else would you expect from them? Remember, they are not the KNS who enjoys bashing Tennessee football.

You must not know the AJC or Michael Carvell who covers recruiting for the state of GA very well.

Dawg fans hate the AJC. Carvell is hated by just about every fanbase in the SEC, including UT.

Wants to visit UT sometime in January. Here's a quote from the VQ article:

"Hopefully they'll get better and get a lot more wins. And, I heard some boys in the locker room staying that if they started winning they'd all want to go. That's interesting to me," Chubb said. "People that go up there say they have nice facilities and buildings and nice coaches. I want to go see what they're talking about. I want to go check it out."
