After thinking about this, I believe Hart will only be "forced" to fire Dooley if we go 6-6, which would mean losing to either Troy, Missouri, Vanderbilt, or Kentucky. At 7-5, we go to a bowl game and are assured the first winning season since 2009, and with a bowl win could reach 8 wins for the first time since 2007.
I would agree with this. I wouldn't be too happy if this happened, but it's probably the most realistic possibility.

Dooley walking into a tougher situation is also a stretch.

Bull. Like him or not, Kiffin told kids to take their talents elsewhere in his one year. They may not have been talented enough but it was a body to absorb a hit or two. The national media made UT out to be a train wreck, whether we were or not. It's no secret that Dooley wasn't our 1st choice. Hell, he may not have been 4th.

If you want to say Dooley is not the guy, I don't have much data to support much of a defense right now, but don't tell me he didn't walk into a worse situation than USCe.

Yeah...apparently his thigh. Must be a lot worse than it sounds. Hope Neal can go.

We'll find out more information when CDD addresses media later today. Skeeter said the news on Lane doesn't sound good. All I've heard thrown around about Neal is that it could be just an ankle sprain, but the severity is not known.

Thanks. I wonder if Tom Smith or Hill (if he can ) will get any reps.

If Neal and Lane are out for the Bama game, you're going to see what you saw in the second half of the MSU game - Que Watson, DY, and Pig in the backfield. CP will be back there some, too.

Please. Spurrier took over a program that had won 16 games the previous three years, was coming off what was essentially a self enforced bowl ban, and had never even sniffed an SEC title game.

After seeing Ole Miss move the ball w/o a threat at the QB position and Jeff Scott stretch Alabama's defense a bit I'm not quite as worried as I once was. Didn't say I felt great just not as worried.

I don't know, I would like to see what happens the following year. Let him coach his seniors, I think we'll have some impact freshman and also the second year with the new defense, coaches settled in.

Its not that I'm fine with middle of the pack, or bottom of the barrel for that matter, I just think one more year provided he finishes out at least 7-5 with a bowl is reasonable.

I thought CP, Pig and que looked good back there - all had real burst and were quick to the hole

DY didnt run bad except for the 1 critical mistake - that being said he would be hard to trust since the other guys looked good back there

if CP is still having troubles getting the offense down and running good routes, putting him in at RB from time to time seems like a great call to get him some touches

Yeah? Proven commodities are more likely to receive benefit of the doubt.

In years 4 and 5 he only had 7 wins and L's in both bowl games. Year 6 before 9 wins and that was with another bowl loss. Year 7 before double digit wins. Takes time to rebuild dumpster fires, doesn't it?

You're talking to a wall. Remember, "his mind is made up."
