I'm glad 95% of the people in the football forum aren't in charge. Hart will do what's best for the program. The problem is, if Dooley is fired and Gruden isn't the coach hired most of the nutcases aren't gonna be happy anyway. I've never seen such a man crush. I swear they wack to thoughts of Gruden after their wives go to bed.

The Gruden thing is a game to 70% of the posters in that thread. The others don't know they're being played.

I don't take anything in the ff seriously anymore. I'm trying not to form an opinion either way until after the season. I've tried to be supportive of Dooley. I believe he can get the job done, its just not happening as quickly as the fan base is allowing.

Mornin' y'all. Wet and stormy start to the week here. Some of the thunder woke me up last night. Haven't heard it thunder like that in a long time. Here's to hoping this is a good week.

We had some thunder storms move through. It made the morning drive crazy. I think its gone now though.

Does tony have a dremel?

that would fix it right up

last week I was talking about the various surgeries with my PT and he said orthos are basically carpenters or woodworkers. After watching some of the videos I have to agree

Is it sad that I laid down at 12:15 last night and didn't go to sleep till after 1:30 due to thoughts of our football program?

I have been a Dooley supporter. I truely believe he can get the job done. Saying that, we were outcoached and outplayed by Miss St. I don't know if the players aren't buying in or if the coaches aren't getting it done. Starting over is gonna mean a few more tough years ahead but so is sticking with Dooley. I am not gonna push 1 way or the other till after the year is over. I expect a loss to Bama and SC but a loss to anyone else on our schedule probably means the end of Dooley(if not already). If you look at teh BCS, we lost to the 2nd(at home), 11th, and 12th ranked teams. Not horrible when you really think about it.

Where do the logical minds of the Topic stand?

The thought of going in and grinding on a bone or joint doesn't sound good to me.

I'm not sure how logical my mind is, but I have probably been thinking along the same lines until yesterday. It finally hit me that we will always be playing ranked opponents and it seems that our losses are not due to lack of talent any more. Two and a half years into his tenure, Dooley is 3 games under .500. That's pretty bad. I also understand that our defense is not good and we should give them time. However, the mistakes on offense and special teams are atrocious. Add to that the fact that our offensive line is amazing, our wide receivers are amazing, and it makes the stupid mistakes really look like coaching issues. Dooley has not recruited horribly, but we are still getting middle of the pack SEC recruiting classes, which will never cut it.

I worked for a podiatrist and was in the OR when he did surgery. There is definitely skill involved. The ortho I'm seeing is the one who did surgery on both of my dad's shoulders. He came highly recommended.

My thoughts on the football program are that Sal needs a year to get his defense ready (we have no backup for McCullers when he goes out). And I'm pinning my future hopes on Peterman. We need a mobile quarterback. Bray was Kiffin's idea of what his offense needed.

I'm with you. I understand we have lost to some great teams, still have two more to go, but we have the ability to beat all of those, and its just not happening. The fact that we have zero wins against the top 25, only wins against Vandy and ky in the sec, only had 1 sec win last year, we lost to ky when we shouldn't have, and no improvements are being made, is what bothers me. I have no faith in Dooley, his career shows nothing to give hope for.

I have wanted to Dooley to work out for us because of the type of person he is off the field. I have said before I think he is a good representive for UT and I think he is trying to recruit players not soley on talent but on character too. After watching Saturday night's game I am just not sure any longer about Dooley's coaching ability. I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt looking at the situation he came in to, but I feel like this year he should be winning at least one of these bigs games. I think there is a combination of things that are causing these losses. Dooley not being able to coach the guys up in these big game situations, the players not knowing how to win in these games and there is a little bit (not much) talent difference in the teams that we are losing to.

I guess what I am trying to say is that as this season has gone on my faith in Dooley being able to get the job done here is getting smaller. I am not sure what it will take to completely dash my hopes for him here, but it's getting close.
