I think if Dooley was "in over his head" as many of you say, we would be getting blown out instead of getting beat by 7-10. (UGA & MSU)
We had a chance to win both games and the players just didn't make plays..how exactly is that Dooley's fault? He made the adjustments at halftime necessary to win the game..I just don't see why it's all on him.
So is it UK's fault for not making plays when the lose?
Is it AU's fault for not making plays when the lose?
What about Arkansas?
I can't sit here and tell you 100% that it is Coiner's fault. We probably will never know exactly why it happened. Rivera should have done a better job. That is obvious. Coiner probably could have done a better job at preparing the players for that situation. I'd say both are at fault. Here's the thing. How do we know it is Conier's fault?
Did the guy on the front line miss an assignment?
Why wasn't Rivera playing the ball? Meaning, eyeing the ball instead of peddling backward (which if I remember correctly he did)?
Now, I am not saying it wasn't Conier's fault. I am just saying it looked like Rivera made a really terrible play due to poor fundamentals. I guess it is something that we will never know for sure.
Wasted timeouts? At the end? If our fifth year senior could make a tackle, we would have stopped that drive with a three and out.
I thought the playcalling was fair and the adjustments at halftime were helping.
LIke I stated before, I am not asserting the coaches were perfect. I felt like they put our boys in a position to win (given the talent we had). We had unfortunate injures and players who did not make plays.
Dooley just seems dumbfounded, almost like he's given up. Hopefully that isn't the case.
Hubbs isn't a radio show host. He works for the university. He gets information from the university. He is told what he can report and what he can't. You won't see Hyams running a vol site.
