How so? I make no apology for wanting him gone. I believe that to be best for the health of the program. however I have always said that he has done a good job of managing the program. Aside from our performance on the field, we are light years ahead of where we were when he arrived. He's good at the details, not the big picture.
I like Dooley. He's bright, articulate, and by all accounts a good man. He's a poor football coach.
Because of that progress toward a more healthy program, I think only a splash hire outweighs the possible setbacks. I fail.to see the inconsistency.
