Iowa high school coach being called a bully

I cannot believe this. Some one gets their feelings hurt because they cannot follow the rules or guide lines and are forced to face the punishment. So, they decide that is the coach being a bully.... just dumb.

I hope that we aren't recruiting anyone from Iowa.

There's never any good talent from Iowa. It's like Tennessee. Every once in a while there's a guy that comes along that should be 3-4*, but never anything worth pursuing.

If you haven't cramped up and been dehydrated you haven't been physically and mentally challenged enough.

Anyone know Coach Nubby from Hixson in the late 80's?

The article stated that he was suspended for the discipline handed out "among other things".

As much as I agree that the notion of him bullying the student is ridiculous, I'd like to know what the other things were.

I really can't see the "Executive Director of Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union" having the pull to get the high school football coach suspended. No matter what he thinks.

Anyone notice how the writer of the article is the only one that used the term "bully?"

Not saying it's not silly, but you guys are getting played.

1. Several of the writers who have covered this story have stated that Mihalovich was fired because he violated school bullying AND corporal punishment regulations.

2. Not sure that the term "bully" is even key to why this whole thing is ridiculous. The coach made a player run 20 hill sprints, do 20 up-downs, and run two laps around the field. For that, along with accusations that Mihalovich fostered an environment in which profanity was used, the coach was fired.
