I vote for any option with Gruden's name mentioned b/c at least there is hope that things will improve.

If Dooley's name is mentioned, that means there is no hope unless you are happy with mediocrity(or lack thereof).

No it doesn't. He was standing up on the stage and started to speak, got so excited he just jumped right in the middle of the players and they went wild. That is how you show your team you want them to play and get excited. Been waiting ever since Kiffin left for Dooley to fire his team up.........still waiting.
Hey, Dooley had the boys pretty fired up last year after the vandy game. I would say as fired up as the UF boys after their big win.
Wait a second...
That's just sad.

Wouldn't it be interesting how quickly this thread would disappear if we were to beat Bama.:whistling:

Think I am starting to pick up a little get rid of Dooley at all costs regardless of what the team does going on here. Could it be?

Look, I will be honest with you.
I just want Tennessee to win.
I don't care who the coach is, just win.
I want to have confidence in the team and the coaches.
If that man is Dooley, so be it but at some point he has got to do it.

Me too, and y'all are very, very welcome.

I keep having this vision of Jon Gruden being sacrificed on the alter of "you promised us a NC," as we collect pocket change to try and scrape up enough coin to hire Watson Brown.

Ewww, hadn't heard that name in a while. come to think of it, he'd fit on that list pretty well also...would at least be an upgrade.

I think we both know what happened the year prior, remove that and nothing says Majors had what it took to get the job done. I am not comparing Majors to DD as much as I am saying the time to rebuild will probably be similiar based on in state talent.

If I am a 5 star talent growing up in Bama or Florida or Louisiana or GA and the school I watched growing up is on top and offered me an opportunity to play for the school, I am going to go to that school.

That is why we are not getting the top tier recruits more than who the coach is. There are exceptions where families want their kids to go away if they have been in trouble to get away from distractions, but for the most part if a kid has the chance to play for their in state school and said school is ranked in top 10 that is who they sign with and the majority of us would do the same as well
.

So what your saying is its time to drop down to the OVC until half of the SEC is on probation and or given the death penalty?

What evidence do you have that he is going to get it done? We have plenty of evidence pointing to his not getting it done.

It's everyone else's fault. Look what kind of team I inherited. I haven't gotten a chance to get things done my way. Don't look at my record cause noone could have done any better, I just need more time.

Odd similarities to something else going on.
