Where are the drive-by Sunshine Pumpers this morning. I get up each morning for their pearls of wisdom.

They're waiting on the game to start between the Vols and the BYE week.:)

Dooley will be the first coach in the history of football to lose a game in the BYE week.

To tell the truth, I'm glad the "sunshine pumpers" are posting on here. It makes it much easier to get to #7000.
If the Gru doesn't come here, I will support whomever the coach is, like I did for CDD. It's just after three years, coaches elsewhere are doing better with their rebuilding jobs. And yes.....this was a garbage fire, and yes, this is the SEC, but we are better than some of those other schools with less of a rep. We can't continue to be 8th or 9th in the conference in recruiting and make up any ground on the rest of the SEC. To think otherwise is a pipe dream.

Good post.
I agree with you. I welcome the Pumpers here. The free bumps of this thread helps the cause.

How do you define me?

Hey Grudenites, here is your boy Chucky celebrating in Newport back in July of this year. Really disappointed that this cult following had no idea about this link, spoke to someone today who was in attendance at the party. I guess Chucky lied to his wifes family and friends when asked about coaching at UT or perhaps to make you feel better you can say he has had a change of heart.

Enjoy your pics

True volfan4evr but it could easily be what Chucky told his family at this function. Chucky has love for UT because that is where he met his wife. I would speak more of his conversation that was told to me but it just seems to rustle up the Grudenites when anything but blooming flowers, rainbows and every fan gets a lollipop at the gate as they enter in to enjoy the Gruden slaughter of our opposing enemies.

I honestly have no idea what you're trying to say.

Saw somebody important tonight on the way home from the high-school football game. It's been said in this thread he has offered to pay the buyout for CDD.
He said I should come by and look at redoing the tile around his pool.
He also said he's not interested in buying out CDD.

Tifwiw.

Are you saying you're in the know because you're responsible for tiling Thunder Thorton's pool?

Thorton was the one who tried to resist Fulmer getting canned. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if he state he wasn't going to help with a Dooley buyout...

Nevertheless...for Pete's sake people...Dooley only has one remaining year left on his contract. It isn't like we're staring down the barrel of a Phil Fulmer sized buyout.

All Hart would effectively have to do is just not extend Dooley's contract, and Dooley would have mass staff defections (worse than last year). This is what Bud Adams did to Jeff Fisher.

Instead of firing him and having to pay his last year, his refusal to extend the contract made it nearly impossible for Fisher to "prove" he could win in the final year. Long time coaches left and he couldn't lure any quality coaches into a one year deal.

It's basically a stalemate, and the coach usually opts for a settlement to resign.
