'13 GA DE Carl Lawson (Auburn commit)

I agree but UF has lost more players since Muschamp took over than any other program SEC program. UF went into last years game with 68 scholarship players and 73 this year...if anything it's more about quality depth. Also, people forget UF staff has been in place for 2 full years.

Just remember I am out of my mind because I picked UF to win the East this year.

If CWM can control the penalties it could happen.

Whatever happened to that report that was supposed to come out about Auburn recruiting? The same thing that has happened to the other reports concerning Auburn recruiting?

Well then ..... Let's ALL get on the "Cheat to WIN" bandwagon !!! Woo Hoo... Everyone knows UT has the Donors to go toe to toe with anyone ! So lets just show up at recruits doors with our sack of $$$ and see who has more !....I Got 5 On it !!!

Why would he do that??? It's a part of his gameplan and it's working. As long as they r changing the pace of the game by doing so and winning then no need to stop IMO.

Lawson said that he will more than likely be in Knoxville for the Bama game. Dooley called him tonight, and Jay Graham calls him every week.

Would probably be the biggest commit in the class if UT could flip him, besides maybe D Green. Lawson is a game changer as a freshman.

"He (Dooley) just called me to say hello," Lawson said. "He wants me to come down for a game. I'm thinking about coming down for the Alabama game, but I have to check with my dad. Most likely I'll come though."

"He (Graham) calls me every week," Lawson said. "He's just checking in on me and finding out how I'm doing. He's always telling me they need me up there and he wants me to come up. I like him. He's a cool guy."

"I am, but it's not stopping me," Lawson said. "I'm on a bigger pace than last year. I'm at 13 sacks right now, but I'd like to break the state record and get more than 30 sacks. I take it on as a challenge, but it's also freeing up someone else on the defensive line."

I think if Auburn goes 5-7 and UT goes 8-4 or 9-3 it would really help our chances. He definitely likes UT and our coaches. Back in the summer he was quoted as saying he loves Sal and that he's the best LB coach in the country. Winning lands recruits like this.

A nice upset wouldn't hurt us either. I hope he makes it up for the UT/Bama game. Going to be a fun one for him to see. :)

This is pretty awesome news. The atmosphere for that game should be electric.

I'd like to have an update from VOTP on the Auburn side of things. Is it still pretty unrealistic that he sways with Dee Liner not budging?

Yep, considering we were tied at half last year against them with Simms as our QB Poole as our RB, and Rogers as our only good Wr against a much stronger Bama team, there is no reason to believe it should not be a good game this year.

The fact that he's visiting, when he's said for months that he would only take visits after his season (if at all), speaks volumes.

Do you think chizik is gone if they only win 4?

If we only win 4, we will be similar to Arkansas and the fan base are somewhere between completely demoralized, utter shock/pets head falling off, and complete free fall. Chizik continuing would be questionable despite a huge, $8-10 million buyout as I recall.

Speechless.

Lawson is so dynamic that he has the ability to essentially define his own role in our defense. The guy can virtually play anywhere.

A number of informed people think he actually is better than Nkemdiche. The major difference for the recruting experts is 6'5" vs. 6'2". Lawson's stats are better than Nkemdiche.

I don't think Chizik is going to be let go. He won a NC just under two years ago, and he hasn't been at the Barn for that long. The large buy-out will play a role, but I also think it was known that this year would be a bit of a down year for the Barn. I think next year is his "hot seat" year. He's brought in good recruiting classes, and the results will have to start to show.
