Lets take a poll:
All of those that have been on a fight on MARTA say "yeahya!".
Yeahya!
I have to admit I've been on a fight on MARTA. After the Leyritz World Series game.
I actually like MARTA fine, other than the fact that it doesn't really go anywhere useful other than the airport. It's just incredibly inefficient at getting a huge mass of people home from a giant event -- as was BART in San Francisco, which everyone loves. There's just no way to take tens of thousands of people and put them in two subway stations and get them out of there quickly. The worst issue with MARTA is, of course, the fact that it actually curves around the Braves' stadium to avoid going near there [1], so you have to do this whole song and dance with the shuttle or walk most of a mile. I don't mind taking my boy on MARTA after the game -- that's how we got home after the NC State game, after all -- but adding the shuttle and all that into it makes it way too big of a pain in the ass.
[1] Thanks to the Falcons and the Braves being paranoid about losing parking revenue decades ago when MARTA was first being drawn up. They avoided the stadium on purpose.
