The only way you can make a claim that Chipper was better than Mickey Mantle is if you're willing to make the general argument that athletes are all so much better that, say, Troy Tulowitzki is better than Babe Ruth. As in, you move Tulowitzki backwards or Ruth forwards in time, and Tulowitzki would be better.

Which maybe he would be. It's unknowable what Babe Ruth as he was would hit like these days. You willing to go there?

I'm willing to go there if you're willing to party in the green lot Friday. I'll be looking for Cllint Eastwood and Daniel-son from karate kid.

Clint's got a considerable amount more hair left than I do. Make Daniel-san blonde and that's pretty close though.

Haven't figured out how I'm getting down there yet. Official parking is sold out. Anybody know if there are still a bunch of park-in-my-yard lots on the west side of the highway? It's been a long time since I went to a packed Turner Field.

I bought 10$ parking passes off a scalper for the 2010 nlds right before turning into the lot on the west side of the stadium. There's a fruit stand an a couple non braves lots over there as well

MARTA is a disaster but can be entertaining at the same time.

I recall riding the train from buckhead to the airport many years ago. It was around this time of year and a lot of folks were riding the train down to a braves playoff game loss.

Two very white kids were on the train and were high on something. One of the kids dropped the 'n' word, not negachop, and it didn't go so well. Entertaining though.

Post-event MARTA can indeed be entertaining, but I'm not going to be drinking in any significant amount. Therefore just irritating.

I guess I'm going to drive down there with cash in my wallet and see what I can find. Don't want to deal with the whole ordeal, especially with the boy.

I would not put my kids on MARTA, either. Don't want them sticking to the seats, for one.

I've not "been on a fight on MARTA", but I have seen several and shoved people back into the fray when they bumped into me. Just like back in college at the Library.

What is it with Evan Longoria and hitting HRs on the last game of the regular season? sheesh... Last year heroics versus the Red Sox and tonight he has hit three HRs in first three ABs.
