Up another contract!!!!!!

Dooley has shown a lot improvement. Even thou our players weren't ready to beat UF and UGA yet, We wen't toe to toe with them. I think if we go toe to toe with Bama and beat Miss St, we should give him a contract. Dooley walked into one of the worst mess in college football. 3 coaches in 3 years isn't something every program does and still have great seasons. Also, Firing Dooley would be stupid because we will lose recruits, players, coordinators, etc.... I don't want to start over again. We finally have a team that can compete in the SEC. Why put us back another 3 more years? That means 3 more years of losing to UF, UGA, and Bama. I don't want that and you negavols don't want that.

I'm more optimistic than most, but no way does he get another contract unless he does something. He has two years left on the contract, let's beat a few people before we starting drafting another one hmm?

Inherited a mess. Catastrophic proportions. On the edge of collapse. The previous administration was one of the worst in history. Drastic measures were taken and we are still in recovery. It may be slow but we will get there.

4 more years for Dooley.

Wait, no. Sorry.

Realistically, i don't think there is any way DD would get fired this year. Folks just need to suck it up and support our team and its coach.

You are absolutely right...best thing that could happen is hart extend his contract and let these recruits know our coach will be here regardless...

I would not go that far Slick. I would, if i were Hart, give a reassuring message that he will indeed be here next year. I think his contract was for 4 years? Correct?

Going toe to toe with Bama and beating MSU can not be the goal at Tennessee. What has happened to us? That stadium did not get all of those expansions with those expectations.

Right. Let's give a extension to a coach who has never won a meaningful game. That's clearly the best thing that could happen.

With as far as this program has come since Dooley got here...going toe to toe with fla. 10th.....ga..5th.....possibility of beating miss st..20 th...and sc...6th....then playing bama straight up..1st..I would see that as progress...defense HAS to improve though...

Just to review...

14-16 overall record
0-12 against ranked opponents
4-14 against the SEC, 1 of those L's to UK
0 wins against teams that "matter"

The kicking game is a joke. Our defense is putrid. Our offense is only marginally improved (although I was pleased to see a better running game on Sat). I'm not a negavol nor am I a Dooley-hater. But, to suggest that this resume deserves a contract extension is laughable to me.

Your right...because this team needs the confidence and security from hart and the university...and the big name recruits will come......you build it they will come

At this point I think we should at least honor his contract. Dabo got 4 years at Clemson and everyone thought he should have been fired. How'd that turn out?

You do know the year before he got here we beat UGA and USCe handily. Took national champ Bama to the wire and played reigning national champ Florida to the wire. These have been down years for UF and we still can't get a win. Getting beat by 17 is not toe to toe with Florida.

My point was that we only marginally improved on offense.... I think we look much better than in recent years! The 2nd half against FL was bad but other than that the O has been much better
