'13 VA RB Derrick Green (Michigan commit)

Hey, he had a good game. I'm not trying to rip the dude. Let's not pretend the young guys we have aren't a lot more talented though, because they are.

Why aren't they starting then?

They have the potential to be better, definitley. Won't argue that. But right now, they aren't any better.

Yeah, sure. Stupid.

If Croom of Pig or Bowles were so out of this world good they would easily supplant ZRo right now considering his lackluster career.

Nope, two of them have been hurt and all three of them are 18 year olds.

Rogers has played well this year. He is far from irreplaceable though. Let's not be silly.

Pig is healthy now. I still doubt he will supplant ZRo before the end of the season.

Again, they will likely be better over their career, but they aren't right now. Nobody knows. They could be total flops.

When have I said any of the freshmen will beat out Z. Rogers this year?

I said he is replaceable. Dare I say, he is easily replaceable and we will upgrade when we do so. Again, he's played well, but he is what he is.

You said it would be easy. You have absolutely no idea. He has played well. Pig and Croom are both coming off injuries. Who knows what they'll be like next year.

Not trying to pick a fight, just a little on edge right now :hi:

I think it will be easy. I don't think that is too out there of a stance.

Won't be hard to replace but he's having a good year for us. :salute:

IDK... BB. ZRo has a knack for not only knowing the offense but how where the soft spots are in the defense and has been quite the leader in our WR core. If nothing else, he's been a valuable contributor and coach on the field. He's earned his scholarship this yr.

Someone on VQ asked...Green came away from Knoxville impressed with Tennessee. However, he seems to talk highly about everywhere he visits. Do you feel Tennessee is in this one legitimately?

Yes, but the difference is the family wants him in Knoxville. He will like his Michigan visit, but I don't think the family wants him to go that far away.

Tennessee is definitely in it for Green. Without question they are in it. The Michigan trip is the one to watch.
