haha, nice

SDVol, don't want to highjack the thread, but I don't know how else to ask you. Just quick feeling when you read the question....

Thinking about taking a job that would let me choose between San Francisco & Burbank. Married. What city would you choose? I'm assuming you live in San Diego. I do have family outside of Anaheim (Yorba Linda), but they aren't driving factor.

The weather is much better in Burbank. Honestly, I would never live in Northern California, but I guess it depends on what you like. If you are more liberal minded and enjoy colder weather, I would move to SF, otherwise go to Burbank

I would never live in California. It's slowly becoming a 3rd world country of it's own.

I liked San Francisco when I visited there. More conservative than liberal, but I don't care enough about politics to let it matter in any aspect of my life. The snow is actually the thing I would miss the most if we moved out there. Tough decision.

Saban wouldn't be at his HS today if he were anything less than 100% confident Henry is choosing Alabama.

You can flip that however you want. People who want to believe he will pick UT will say Saban is there to try and recruit him even harder since he is picking UT.

I think it's Bama, just saying...

Rule of thumb in California is the further south you can get, the better! Better weather and housing in San Fran is way overpriced.

Rocky, Black Creek Range in DeSoto NF, 2 pm tomorrow if you wanna show up. Got about 10 people and their families to come shoot. We even got a clay thrower!

Thanks, but kind of a far drive for me

Agreed! I'm in Orange County Cailfornia and I love it, although I do miss Knoxville in the FALL. I'm not used to 90's in October

That's True. San Diego is the best place in the state if you have a choice. CA Gun Laws suck though. Not going to live somewhere that I cannot defend myself.

Job? My wife is scared as hell to move that far away from home. She's from Louisville, and has never been farther away than Nashville.

I'm from there originally. Wife is from here. Just moving there because its cheaper. I am licensed in TN as well

My dad lives in Laguna Niguel. It's beautiful there. Mountains on one side ocean on the other.

He took us down to San Diego when we visted it and I loved it as well.

It was how ever a culture shock for this country boy when I went to visit dad. Every time I talked some girl was always around. Stopped me and ask me to talk some more. Lol. Think I could've got some play real easy but dad and step mom were always around.

What, exactly, are you talking about? I live near San Diego and in east Tennessee. I don't ever feel like I "cannot defend myself" in either location.

I would choose Burbank. Commute will suck but SF is 10,000 x's as bad. The weather will be much nicer in the Burbank area. Not much rain at all and moderate temps in the winter. If your company is paying for the relo, I would check San Dimas or West Covina for housing. Cheaper and not a bad commute. The further East you get from the LA area, the cheaper. You can always visit SF for the tourist stuff, but don't move there. I lived NE of LA (San Angeles National Forrest) for awhile and loved all the things I could do within an hour's drive. You just have to adjust and get used to a lot of sunshine, warm weather and single digit humidity. And, you'll be a short drive to Goofy World (Anaheim). Also, ignore the gun nut post.

Headline reader. Might just see some headline on some sight and take it for reality. I never had a problem.
