We have no honor if we quit before the end. I can't stand piss poor effort. When your team doesnt want to play for the hc, fire him. Worked wonders for the Oakland a's

All this hysteria is resulting from an email from a person who is friends with Chucky's brother Jay. The email says talks are in the process but please don't leak out this info or my name. I picture some fat guy living in the basement of his parents home laughing his ass off right now at how hard he pranked some people.

Depends on perspective I think. Doorights think Dooley can do no wrong.....despite a record that empirically proves otherwise.

We're back where we during the last 3-4 years of Fulmer. It's a vicious circle.

The game bypassed Fulmer, and apparently never stopped to let Dooley get on.

Aside from Chaney admitting he gave up on the run to early against Florida, I have yet to see any player state they quit in the game. Now granted I do live in Knoxville and I am around campus a lot since my daughter attends and lives on campus. Can someone provide a link that says the players quit on DD against Florida? If no link then your analogy is nothing more than butt hurt syndrome.

I watched the game. You can see the anguish on the players faces. They did the exact same thing against Kentucky last year. How do you explain the second half slaughter? I am butt hurt by the way we play. We should never quit and always fight. I wish Dooley dumped chaneys ass with the others.

To me, that's a little bit of a coaching issue, but the much bigger issue is on the field leadership...

What were they smoking?

If we had beat Florida this thread would be buried on VN.
Odd that as close as I follow the Vols and know several boosters, 1 of which is friends with Grudens mother-n-law yet there was no smoke that I was aware of.

Neither of those say they quit. I would go with couldn't handle the pressure before I went with quit on those quotes.

Crawling into a shell = quitting on the field. If we did win, I would be happier. The loss hurts because its the way we lost. No honor at all.

If we had beaten Florida, we would have shown improvement and this thread would never have been started....until we sleepwalked through the Akron game, or lost all 3 in October.

Nobody wants this simply for the sake of change. Not even the people who are reaching out to guage the interest of several possible replacements. It's happening because of a pattern.

No, crawling into a shell is backing away from pressure. One doesn't go in a shell cause they quit, they go in a shell cause they are scared.
