MNF: Green Bay vs. Seattle

Wait, wait, wait...John Clayton doesn't live in that blue screen and does goes out places.

WTF?

They don't want pension plans for part time officials, which is everyone.

But they want everyone to be a full time ref. Which means these officials have to give up their other jobs, even though they only get paid during the season.

So, all of the officials are "officially" listed as part time? I didn't know that. Never thought of it. So, if they have back up refs or whatever the NFL proposes, then that could cut into the payday of the regular refs costing them money, right?

Ok little man. My family is sound asleep. They won't be "hurt" by your stupidity. Thanks for your fake concern though.

Oh I certainly wasn't concerned and I'm not exactly sure where your anger is coming from. I'm just saying I can see that catch both ways. I see both sides to it. That is all. Are the Packers your team? Because if not, then I don't understand why you're angry.

I believe so, yes.

I'm not an expert.

Clayton lives in Seattle. Wonder if he was actually at the game or just left mom's basement after it ended to get on camera.

This looks like ESPN seizing the moment and milking it for what it's worth. This is great.

I would have to agree with what Steve Young said last week, matter of fact he is the first person to say what I feel. I mean I laugh when these fans are like, they need to get the refs back... I am thinking, why? Cost them less and you'll still watch.

I think this one though might have blow back... this was real bad... what was even worse was how many calls down the stretch that we just plain wrong.

Mortensen said on ESPN tonight some of them are pissed at him. The last sentence was hope, not anything to base anything on.

There are effectively 32 bosses and one employee. Of course a few of them are pissed. Goodell's serving what he thinks is the power base.

Eventually a critical mass of them will cave and then Goodell will cave. There's no way he's acting as an independent agent in all this.

You know exactly why he is saying what he saying, if not then what he said about you has to be true.

If you see two sides to this then stop drinking right now... there is no two sides about this.

So, rather than paying proven officials what they are worth and providing some sort of pension plan, they flip it over to incompetent "officials" who apparently are making egregiousness calls and non calls that are determining the outcome of NFL games. Which, may lead to certain teams thrust towards a Super Bowl game that might not otherwise have been. All in the name of bringing in the money to the NFL coffers.

Somebody said they are fighting over a few million dollars in the grand scheme of thing, something like 1% of what the NFL is actually worth.

Oh I get exactly what he's saying and I understand his side. I see the call both ways, but the anger is what is interesting to me. It's humorous.

From what I've been hearing and reading about the officiating so far, the NFL will end this soon. I would say at this point that everyone will question every single call or non-call that the scabs, er replacements make.

I see no anger I see a troll. There is no seeing this two ways unless your name is Pete Carroll.

I hate the packers, and I'm far from "angry". If that is the only card you gave to play, your game is as weak as these refs. I'll just stop now, because I honestly feel bad for you.

If it was a good commish sure, but Roger Goodell and the NFL owners are greedy bastards and only care about money.

It's a typical troll strategy, they are put in a position to look bad.... so they start with the, you are angry bit or the strawman arguments.

Do you think the owners will continue to put up with the replacement officials performances? It's going to cost some of them some money down the line.

We'll see. Some of the owners are pissed at Goodell now. I got to think owners are going to worry it'll cost them a game.
