At least come up with the ball, Tate clearly wanted it more. 3- Tate most certainly had his hands on it. YOU PLAY TIL THE END. There's always botched calls. Even if this ends the beef with the regular refs you'll still have crap calls against you. Just ask Seattle fans during the SB, that's the worst officiated game ever and that had the best crew of that year. It's just nice seeing something controversial that doesn't affect my teams at all for once.

Jennings caught the ball, clutched it to his chest, fell back to the ground. Jennings maintained possession the whole time. Tate reached around Jennings, one of his hands came off the ball, then he got it back on. Jennings had the better position; Jennings had the ball clutched to his chest; Jennings's hand never came off the ball.

"Tate clearly wanted it more" is maybe the wrongest sentence I've ever read on VolNation. And that's saying something.

You've been "drawn into this" because you keep arguing something that is flat-out wrong. You're like the guy in science class who keeps sticking his hand up wanting to know why everyone thinks the world isn't flat.

Isn't the NFL wanting to do away with the NFL referee's pension plan, too? That seems big to me. I don't keep up with this like some.

Exactly. Look at the Lions/Titans game. They forgot where they marked the ball, and gave the Titans ten extra yards in an OVERTIME GAME. But nobody really cared.

Monday Night. Storied Franchise. Best player in league. Perfect storm.

This is flat out stupid. The Packers defensive back caught the ball and is going to the ground, then Tate tries to grab onto it also. It was an interception. There is no denying that.

They don't want pension plans for part time officials, which is everyone.

But they want everyone to be a full time ref. Which means these officials have to give up their other jobs, even though they only get paid during the season.

Whoever said this, apparently was watching something I did not. The other guy clearly came down with the ball, that guy didn't know where the ball was. Eventually got ONE hand on the ball after the fact. After a few seconds he finally released as he knew it was over.

Mortensen said on ESPN tonight some of them are pissed at him. The last sentence was hope, not anything to base anything on.
