MNF: Green Bay vs. Seattle

Interesting considering I'm not wrong about anything I said. I have said that it wasn't clearly his. Had they ruled it an int at the end I would have been on board with that, but they didn't. You sir, just need to calm down. You're taking this game way too seriously. Me and my family are quite alright. You seem like you're about to do something to them. So just calm down.
You are absolutely wrong on all accounts. Continue to embarass yourself though. I'm enjoying it.

I'm kind of glad this happened to the Packers and not a team where it can just be swept under the rug and ignored. These are the Green Bay Packers, one of the most storied franchises in the history of the league. Maybe that will carry some weight as far as getting something done.

Agree except for completely different reasons.

You are wrong.

Here's my stance on it. Again, I can't believe I've been drawn into this considering I just don't care about the outcome but...

A.) That was pass interference. Plain and simple. But, it was a Hail Mary play. PI is never, ever called on that play. I'm not saying that it's right, I'm just saying it's never called. And there have been plenty of defensive PI calls that they let go.

B.) According to the rules he had the possession first for only 1/100th of a second. So according to that rule then he had it. But the two things I'm annoyed about. 1-Knock it down dumb***, knock it down. Every 5-year old on up knows this. Yes, like yesterday that has a crazy chance of going against you but the numbers are in your favor. 2-Fight for it. At least come up with the ball, Tate clearly wanted it more. 3- Tate most certainly had his hands on it. YOU PLAY TIL THE END. There's always botched calls. Even if this ends the beef with the regular refs you'll still have crap calls against you. Just ask Seattle fans during the SB, that's the worst officiated game ever and that had the best crew of that year. It's just nice seeing something controversial that doesn't affect my teams at all for once.

Jennings caught the ball, clutched it to his chest, fell back to the ground. Jennings maintained possession the whole time. Tate reached around Jennings, one of his hands came off the ball, then he got it back on. Jennings had the better position; Jennings had the ball clutched to his chest; Jennings's hand never came off the ball.

"Tate clearly wanted it more" is maybe the wrongest sentence I've ever read on VolNation. And that's saying something.

You've been "drawn into this" because you keep arguing something that is flat-out wrong. You're like the guy in science class who keeps sticking his hand up wanting to know why everyone thinks the world isn't flat.

In favor of the NFL on this - the refs resistance to backup crews and the ability to bench a ref for poor performance is the reason people get frustrated with unions. When it's more about job protection than fair compensation for a job well done then you lose some sympathy in my book.

That said, it's time to give them what they want. Next time, if the refs walk shut down the league and see where the negative PR goes.

Isn't the NFL wanting to do away with the NFL referee's pension plan, too? That seems big to me. I don't keep up with this like some.

And lmmfao@ you assuming I would do anything to your family. They have suffered enough by your display of stupidity tonight.

Exactly. Look at the Lions/Titans game. They forgot where they marked the ball, and gave the Titans ten extra yards in an OVERTIME GAME. But nobody really cared.

Monday Night. Storied Franchise. Best player in league. Perfect storm.

Lol, I wasn't talking about mine, I was talking about you doing something to yours. You brought up mine, so I brought up yours. I really don't think you'll do anything to them. I'm just saying you seem real upset.

Almost too perfect...

*X-Files music*

Packer fans just need to blame Jennings. You're supposed to knock it down, not pad your stats. Could have easily been knocked away.

This is flat out stupid. The Packers defensive back caught the ball and is going to the ground, then Tate tries to grab onto it also. It was an interception. There is no denying that.

They missed that before.

By the way, the owners are starting to turn on Goodell with this. He's going to get his ass fired.

Link?

Goodell is what every other commissioner is -- a tool of the owners, doing what they want and serving as the lightning rod. They may have to fire him to save face now, but he's doing their bidding.

I don't think it was on Woodson, but another defender for the Pack. Are you talking about the one down the sideline? Because that wasn't one.

No it was down the middle of the field to the tight end & he got blatantly mugged. I would expect your bizarro stance anyway.

Ok little man. My family is sound asleep. They won't be "hurt" by your stupidity. Thanks for your fake concern though.

They don't want pension plans for part time officials, which is everyone.

But they want everyone to be a full time ref. Which means these officials have to give up their other jobs, even though they only get paid during the season.

Tate clearly wanted it more.

Whoever said this, apparently was watching something I did not. The other guy clearly came down with the ball, that guy didn't know where the ball was. Eventually got ONE hand on the ball after the fact. After a few seconds he finally released as he knew it was over.

Mortensen said on ESPN tonight some of them are pissed at him. The last sentence was hope, not anything to base anything on.
