MNF: Green Bay vs. Seattle

In favor of the NFL on this - the refs resistance to backup crews and the ability to bench a ref for poor performance is the reason people get frustrated with unions. When it's more about job protection than fair compensation for a job well done then you lose some sympathy in my book.

That said, it's time to give them what they want. Next time, if the refs walk shut down the league and see where the negative PR goes.

The whole game was bad but the Seahawks got 3-4 calls that were real bad and allowed them to win (if you call it that).

- Roughing the passer
- Def pass interference
- TD at the end

That was all in the last 6 minutes or so. What was bad is all of them were blatant.

Now seeing Pete Carroll act like they deserve the win was kind of funny. I felt embarrassed for him.

Lisa Salters: "Did you push off."

Golden Tate: Completely straight face, "I don't know what you talkin about."

Fantastic.

Did rick reilly really just accuse golden tate of cheating? ha. ha. ha.

True, there probably isn't steroid usage in other sports.

I love watching Clay Matthews at USC, then Clay Matthews at Green Bay, and nobody says anything. But hey, if Joey Bautista hits 50 homers and doesn't change his body at all, then you have to question him.

And you sir, can't be stupid enough to believe that
A.) wasn't a BLATANT case of offensive pass interference
B.) an ABSOLUTE Jennings interception.
100% botched officiating job. PERIOD.

Here's my stance on it. Again, I can't believe I've been drawn into this considering I just don't care about the outcome but...

A.) That was pass interference. Plain and simple. But, it was a Hail Mary play. PI is never, ever called on that play. I'm not saying that it's right, I'm just saying it's never called. And there have been plenty of defensive PI calls that they let go.

B.) According to the rules he had the possession first for only 1/100th of a second. So according to that rule then he had it. But the two things I'm annoyed about. 1-Knock it down dumb***, knock it down. Every 5-year old on up knows this. Yes, like yesterday that has a crazy chance of going against you but the numbers are in your favor. 2-Fight for it. At least come up with the ball, Tate clearly wanted it more. 3- Tate most certainly had his hands on it. YOU PLAY TIL THE END. There's always botched calls. Even if this ends the beef with the regular refs you'll still have crap calls against you. Just ask Seattle fans during the SB, that's the worst officiated game ever and that had the best crew of that year. It's just nice seeing something controversial that doesn't affect my teams at all for once.

Golden Tate thanked God and then denied that he pushed off in a span of three seconds. Pure class.

In his defense, he probably didn't know he did push off. I know that sounds crazy, but he probably doesn't even remember what happened.

You are honestly embarrassing yourself, & your family at this point. If I was you, I would quit while you are behind.

They were all terrible calls and the Pack got screwed, but at the same time, watching them run off the field and not even want to go out for the PAT and then the lack of effort they did display on the PAT, im glad they lost

Yeah, that totally gave it away. He should have said, "Do what? Pushed what? Who? When?" That was a quickly scripted answer haha. But it was a Hail Mary, defenders certainly get away with a lot on those plays.

This is a disgrace. Green Bay just got cheated out of a win. The officiating was awful all game for both teams, but mostly in Seattle's favor. The NFL needs to get the real refs back now.

The PI is something you deal with but people are going to talk about it... that was too blatant.

As far as the call, it was wrong all the way. Tate did not catch the ball, nor did he have possession in any way... at the end of the day the SH did not catch a pass in the endzone. It was game over.

That is not a botch call... it was complete stupidity.

You keep playing that card, yet don't ever seem to grasp that that's not the point.

Interesting considering I'm not wrong about anything I said. I have said that it wasn't clearly his. Had they ruled it an int at the end I would have been on board with that, but they didn't. You sir, just need to calm down. You're taking this game way too seriously. Me and my family are quite alright. You seem like you're about to do something to them. So just calm down.

What about the defensive PI on Woodson a couple plays before? It wasn't a Hail Mary.

The best part?

One of the sticking points for the NFL in the negotiations is that they can punish bad refereeing.

LULZ.

They missed that before.

By the way, the owners are starting to turn on Goodell with this. He's going to get his ass fired.

I'm kind of glad this happened to the Packers and not a team where it can just be swept under the rug and ignored. These are the Green Bay Packers, one of the most storied franchises in the history of the league. Maybe that will carry some weight as far as getting something done.
