'13 FL RB Derrick Henry (Bama commit)

This is from another site this morning. Still have not seen the 247 article but 3 sites are saying UOV for Henry.FWIW

Derrick Henry (6-3, 240) will be making an unofficial trip to Tuscaloosa.

Bama pays for all of the trips, so I can see the confusion. :)

Henry ran for over 500yds tonite which puts him in 1st for all rushing yds in FL. He now has over 9000 career rushing yds and passed Emmit Smith tonite. K Taylor technically has more yds career but since over 1500yds came while he was in 8th grade playing HS FHSAA does not recognize those yds. Only yds from 9th to 12th grade.

Taylor ahead by almost 500 yards even when you take out his 8th grade year. The FHSAA has Taylor holding the record. Those 8th grade stats won't count towards the national record but in Fla KT has the record.

Where does anyone get the idea that we have a choice? We are begging for a good running back and neither one of these are locks.

Didn't say they were locks, I said I would love to have either one(if one of them decides to come here)(that's pretty much understood) b/c IMO, Henry OR Green would be a good fit.

That is what I meant the national record. He had 1500+ on 8th grade. Either way both have had great careers in HS.:hi:

I will also have to check because going into the game yesterday I saw that Henry was ahead of KT by like 52 yds when only counting 9-12th grade.

You folks are way too limited in your vision for Tennessee Football and the future! We want both Green and Henry! Why not!!!!:dance2:

Go Big Orange!

I def. want this kid to come to UT, but only if it means it does not scare off Green. I know Henry says he is not scared of any Competition(as he claimed via twiiter), but I am unsure of Greens mindset as it pertains to depth chart and fellow recruits in his signing class. If I had my choice Green wins between the two.

Cobb and Webb were absolutely on that level. Maybe not quite like Bo or Herschel, but they were really good, man.

Several other football fans (not just us older Vol fans) would be still talking about Chuck Webb if he hadn't got hurt.

Reggie Cobb left before his time was done at UT too.

They are still the greatest combo I've ever seen around UT, even if they never reached their complete potential.

Scary to think of "what if" when it comes to those two.

I was agreeing with your point. It is just that other people are acting like we have a choice of who we will take.

People who think there is even a remote possibility we'll get both Derrick's are a little cuckoo, IMO.

Why is that? We're at least 2nd for both at the moment and might be leading for Green. Plenty of folks think Henry announces UT next week as well. I'm not saying we'll get both, might not even get one, but not even a remote possibility? I think you're the one who's cookoo, IMO.

One, both or none wouldn't surprise me either. This is recruiting, anything can happen.
