The Wildcard is supposed to be a disadvantage, but I've got to say, if Medlen can get the win in the knockout game, I feel pretty darn good about opening the NLDS at home against the Nats with Hudson followed by Minor.

I would enjoy some revenge on the Cards for the knock-out game.

Fredi has to throw Medlen in the 1 game playoff. There's just no way to argue otherwise unless Huddy throws a couple of 1 hit shutouts in the next two weeks.

Nods in agreement but doesn't want to be blamed for the jinx

Medlen is on freaking fire. How I would love to be stacking him with Brandon Beachy this postseason.

Nah, that CG shutout was totally worth it. I mean did you see the look of pure joy on his face? What an accomplishment.

(Sorry, had to. Valid post though..we would be very dangerous. Although Beachy's health is a reason Medlen is even in the rotation.)

@ESPNStatsInfo: Hey Braves fans.. Medlen is 1st pitcher EVER with 8+ wins, 0.76 ERA or lower, & avg 9+ K per 9 IP in 10-start span, says Elias.

This is some bender Medlen is on.. It is unheralded.

Guys, it is almost time to dig up the preseason predictions from the archived Brave thread. See who is Kang and who is needs to eat some crow. Just need someone to wad thru it and find the posts... I nominate Archer for the job.

It was, believe it or not, still possible to meet girls using it.

I don't think I made any predictions. If I had, I would have predicted the Braves to finish second -- but behind the Phillies rather than the Nats. I thought the Nats were another year away.

I think I predicted 95 wins and was subsequently ridiculed. i doubt we hit that number.. a couple were in the low 90's it seems.

I feel like there was one point where I predicted Chase Utley, no matter how much he played, would have a higher WAR than Uggla over a full season. And TBrown got angry with me.

And unless Utley goes crazy over the last couple weeks, Uggla will finish ahead of him in that regard.
