'13 FL RB Derrick Henry (Bama commit)

I think so too. I also think there's a real chance we land D. Green. Landing both would be something to get really excited about. Striking out on both would be bad. Must get at least 1 of the two. Getting both would be recruiting that hasn't happened at UT in awhile...

I think we get Derrick Green. If we got BOTH? Good grief.

Not sure how long Henry will visit this weekend. But his visit to UA is an UOV and he will take his OV to UA for the aTm game it appears. Which is nothing new because he has stated no matter his choice he was going to visit both schools for OV.:hi:

I'll be thrilled if we get either Derrick.

Should we be really hoping for both? Given the track record and circumstances our team has had the last 6 or so years, the outcome of both committing ultimately might lead to a meltdown of proportions we could not handle after all the hype and anticipation of what was supposed to be doesn't materialize.
But as long as one works out as expected, I'm willing to see the other leave because he has decided that Seminary is his life's calling not the NFL---as long as the other worked out.

Lol why do u hate him so much

I don't hate anyone. That's a strong word to use. I don't like false advertisement. I believe in most of what he/she says. I think he/she makes valid points. Sometimes with a fan base like UT's, its not good to throw stuff out there that makes things worse, especially if you are not 100% correct. This board is great for recruiting, and one of the best I have seen in my time. I just wish people that are privy to information would be more cerebral about their release of information, and have less of an attitude. You don't get brownie points for saying one thing or another, yet people want to feel that way when they say, hey i heard this recruit said this. I spoke with Derrick Henry for 15 minutes this past weekend and he had nothing but positive things to say about the university. He was decked out in all orange, and was really enjoying the game. I asked him if he was going to be a vol and he smiled and said you will have to find out. But like "insiders" have said, recruiting is "fluid". :peace2:

Getting both is how you win Championships. When you have to settle for 3*s at key positions, then you generally fall back into the fray in the SEC. We have to do the same at LB and DL this year.

I was just thinking about this matter yesterday, when I observed USC getting knocked out of the Top 10 (losing to Standford), and the two teams who have recruited regularly in the top 3 (Bama and LSU), are now camping out there in the rankings, for the past two years.
