If UT continues to recruit him as a RB, which I believe they will, he will be a Vol.

Every other team will try and move him. Might say during the recruitment that they will try him at RB first, but make no mistake, UT is the only team right now that wants him as a RB.

Thank you.

Probably because Bama already has 1 stud rb commit in his class, and possibly another soon.

I agree he is a special talent but there is also a reason the best recruiter out there isn't wanting him at RB. I think other colleges will begin to take that stance. Jmo.

Maybe it's because he's got two, possibly three top RB locked up this season and two more about to jump on board for next years class.

Why would I read the article? I have my own opinion. I don't need his.

I know nothing? I haven't missed a Vols game since I was 9 years old, I know this game inside and out. I know a RB when I see one. The kid is a great football player, but IN MY OPINION he won't be a great college RB. Maybe he'll prove me wrong, and I hope he does. He seems like a good kid, and i'd like to have him here, but I think we should recruit him as an athlete. Jmo.

You all have yours, and I have mine. Thats all there really is to it.

OK, there is a difference in stating your opinion and trashing a kid. You are trashing this kid. I have seen his film against good competition and the kid is a consistent performer. He is a 5 star as a junior.

WE GOT YOUR MESSAGE. You have no clue. Now, go and tell the Vandy, Bama, Ole Miss, and other boards just what a terrible player he is.

What have I said to BASH this kid? I have said he isn't as good as y'all think at RB. Now it is showing that every coach other than Dooley agrees with me. I have never said he is a terrible player.

Some of y'all should really consider reading all of the posts before you say something. There is a difference in a great running back, and a great football player. I know some of y'all don't realize this, but there is.

We get it: you don't think he's as good as billed. No need to continually reiterate.

What have you said? Over the past few days, these have been your posts concerning a 16 year old child….. “After seeing him in person, Bama can have him (#326), “Seems scared of contact. No way this kid should be a 5* RB (#331)”, “he didn't look good. Anyone that says otherwise is lying to themselves (#340), “ran very quiet 282 yards (#344)”, “Y'all have fun thinking he's Jesus 2.0 (#262)”, “I don't think any coach in attendance could be overly impressed with Hurd's overall performance (#367)”. Yes, that is bashing.

Now, here are the facts.... He is a 5* RB. He was considered a 4* until his performance against a very stout Mt. Juliet team. He drove the ball down the field and punished 10 in the box over and over again. According to the director of 247 Sports, he said "Jalen can be quick to the hole when need be lined up seven yards deep, but he also shows the ideal patience to set blocking up followed by quick bursts. The ball is carried, and protected naturally in his hands high and tight with a near ideal pocket. He shows quick and reactive vision, including impressive cutback vision. He possesses very good feet in the hole, he presses the hole, has shown a jump cut and skip cut; and can work and burst laterally. On contact, he does a very good job of getting small and especially considering he is over 6-foot-2, plays low to high, runs with physicality and finishes with forward lean, leg drive and low pads. Physically, he’s naturally strong, and especially in his hips and core. His ability to grind out first downs and a long drive against ten in the box in a go ahead fourth quarter more than dozen play drive that showed his ability to not only play running back on the next level, but be a complete back.
"

Many people initially looked at Jalen's height and frame, and thought of him as more of a WR. Yet, the only college that recruited him solely as a WR is Mississippi State. Every other school (including Alabama) are recruiting him as RB. Saban told him that if he wants to run the ball - he can. Period.

And finally the only 2014 commit that Bama has is Bo Scarborough (an ATH).

You're bitter that your team got trampled on, and you want to downplay and bash the outstanding efforts of a 16 year kid. You cannot take back what you've written, but it would be wise to watch your words at this point, because he's only going to get better and better and make you appear more and more ridiculous.

Calm down bud, it is a message board and everyone is entitled to their opinion. I agree with you and think EB4Heisman is wrong.. But I don't think he was bashing the kid. Just stating his opinion. Which was stupid:)

This kid should be #1 overall on our board for next year. I love the way he makes the field stand still.

He should be Top 5. But we need a lot more help and playmakers in the front seven on defense. And I'm not talking about projects. We need some guys that will help AJ out.
