Every time I see a bag of tostitos chips, I think of our 1998 team. For that I am forever thankful to Fulmer. He was a great coach, and even better human being.

If Fulmer received his first $125,000 check on December 1, 2008 (assuming like most of us, he had to put a month in the hole after his November 1st firing  ), he has received 18 checks so far, with 30 more coming to him each month.

Total payout to date: $2,250,000
Remaining payout: $3,750,000
Monthly payments made: 18
Monthly payments remaining: 30
College coaching contracts are... Why reward failure? :ermm: Business contracts are written to protect the business, you know to keep from losing money! :birgits_giggle:

Got to agree the 98 game makes Phil worth every penny. Sorry to say some new fans will never enjoy the experience. I think many were ready for him to leave including myself but now wish he was back for one of his crappy 8 win years.

I say don't buy him out, offer him the OC job.

I'll always be thankful for Mike Hamilton and Haslam having the nuts to get rid of him. Johnny never should have got shafted the way he did.

it's never been about getting rid of him, it;s about hiring someone better and we still haven't done that
