'15 JUCO RB Alvin Kamara (UT commit 6/21/14)

Haha. Both are based off personal opinions. Notice the "think" in each statement. I'm just reading the tea leaves on this one.

I am just intrigued that two guys I personally find fairly reliable are coming up on opposite sides of the fence here.

That's the best part about recruiting. It's an inexact science.

I'm fascinated to see how the RB situation plays out for UT, Alabama, Georgia, Auburn, and South Carolina. By my count, the following RBs are in play:

Considering UT:
Green
Kamara
Henry
Bryant
Turman
Williams
Folston

Considering Alabama:
T. Jones (committed)
Tenpenny (committed)
Henry
Kamara

Considering Georgia:
Green
Kamara
Henry
Bryant
T. Jones
Turman

Considering Auburn:
Wilkins (committed)
Green
Bryant

Considering South Carolina:
Smith (committed)
Bryant
Williams

Wouldn't think that Bama would take another RB committment since they have 2(committments) already, unless they are already thin at the position.

Which means if Kamara ends up at UGA then Bryant goes to AU then D green ends up at VT or Mich which means UT gets Derrick Henry and either Folston or Turman?

If I were Bama i'd just take the two already committed and then reload again in 2014. In-state back Racean "Rock" Thomas is a big-time player that I would concentrate on. I personally hope we do what we need to do in his recruitment.

SN: State of Alabama's 2014 class is loaded with talent. We've got to start back hitting this state hard.

Not necessarily. Worst case scenario leaves us with nobody.

Green - Michigan/VT
Bryant - Auburn
Henry - Alabama
Kamara - Georgia
Turman - Georgia/FSU
Folston - USF
Wilkins - Auburn
Tenpenny - Alabama
T. Jones - Alabama
Williams - USCe

I hope we are actually someone's first choice, not just a backup plan if someone else fills up.

+1

Never have enjoyed reading how we have to hope other teams fill up so that some player(1 out of the 23 we offered) at the position falls to us. I think in alot of ways that is how you end up with kids who do not give their all for Tennessee. Deep down, they wanted to be somewhere else.
