When will it be Dooley's fault?

Hey I've got an idea, why don't we just wait and see how the season turns out? Yeah, guys let's do it. Let's just watch some TN football and then figure out how we feel.

His biggest stars cannot stay out of the news for the wrong reasons. His leadership is in question. He is doubted by many more than you guys want to admit.

Is it his fault? I have bashed him plenty, but at this point I just want to know when he gets some of the blame?

He cannot control his highest profile stars. Is this just more "college kids being college kids" or is it a sign of bad things?

I love how some actually believe in the illusion of control.. When it comes right down to it, about all any of us have control over is our own actions and mouths. Some can't even control either one of those.. You may have just proven my point..

How can a player not doing what is right the Coaches fault? Did he roll it for him? Give Da'rick number to an agent? Coach Dooley is not at fault but will pay the price in the long run!

bobby bowden was the coach of the criminoles for years. Nobody brings up how bad his players acted. CDD can't control these kids around the clock. When they step on campus they are legally adults. They need to think about their futures and start acting like adults. CDD can't wipe their butts and burp them after they eat. He controls what goes on on the field. He, like other coaches, tries to help them off the field also. That's easier said then done. Don't blame CDD for a player acting like a moron. Don't let a bad apple spoil the whole bunch either.

This x 1000!

This x 1000!

When CDD tried to help them avoid bacterial infections by supposedly giving showering lessons, these same people said "treat them like adults" and scoffed at Dooley.

When CDD treats these guys like adults, by holding them accountable for their own actions, these same people say "it's Dooley's fault, he should have done more" and scoff at Dooley.

It is becoming apparent to me that some people would hate Dooley if we went undefeated, they would then say we should have held every opponent to zero. It is amazing the pressure our fan base can apply to any situation.

Do you (or anyone) blame your kid's teacher and try to get them fired when your own kid does not do their homework or disrupts class or is just an overall jackwagon due to bad parenting?

For the record, my sister and her husband did this with both of their kids, and their kids are useless POS now...

most of it is on dooles. don't think he will be around next year. hart better be getting ready for the home run hire, because we are looking like a 7-5 team.

How many players have been arrested during his tenure? 5? And 4 of those were in his first few months on the job.

I believe since September 2010 he's had 1 (Austin Johnson) but I could be wrong.

I have to say that I have liked Dooley's ability to follow through with choices none of us would want to make. Janzen last year, now DR-especially if this really is Dooley's make or break year, then Dooley made decisions that took some of the top team talent off the field permanently. Those guys made their choices and Dooley made his. I do have a feeling that Dooley will be able to stand by his choice(s) much better than others involved will.
It seems like the 10% rule applies in college athletics. There are always going to be guys on teams that jack up life for everyone else. Would DR have been pretty amazing with JH, CP, etc hell yes. Will we get to see what this team is made of? Hell yes. I hope to enjoy the show and not curse inanimate objects too much on gamedays.

It's not dooley's fault if the players don't follow the vfl program. And you can't seriously expect him to hold their hands 24/7. All he can and should be held accountable for is the way he handles the punishments when the players step out of line.

Should he be held accountable for not dismissing Rogers last time? Possibly, but it's certainly not his fault that Rogers screwed up again.
