'15 JUCO RB Alvin Kamara (UT commit 6/21/14)

For me.... I'd much rather deal with people who truly truly want to be VOLS. I took this process very seriously and so did my son while he was going through it. He didn't lead people on, jump ship 10x from school to school.... only one school thought they were going to get him; and the other KNEW they were going to get him. Never waivered from that and didn't waste time taking 22 visits to 26 school because they offered him.

Take the kid(s) that are serious about their future. Thats all I ask.

Not teasing.... I really just don't care right now. They're all good prospects, but make sure the one that accepts is true to his word. PERIOD!!

Seems like those kids are hard to come by nowadays.

Completely agree. You want a player that wants to be there 100% and there for the program and not just about them. That is why I never get upset about some players going eleswhere or a player that flips because in the end you want the ones that want to be a a part of the program and leave a legacy at that school.

Thats an easy statement to make when your school has loaded depth, and 4*s recruits waiting to replace any that you miss on.

Trying to piece it all together but sounds like Alvin had at least one long TD run, no clue on other stats from scrimmate.

While I like to think I am athletic, alas I am white and 5'8 and going to UT on academic scholarship not athletic....

Athletic scholarships tend to be as equally profitable as academic ones. I would have been overjoyed with either. Aren't you taller than DY? Oh, almost forgot, what is your 400m time :) .

Those types of kids are hand crafted. So what is really hard to come by is effective parenting.

I think most Americans would be thrilled if a few more fathers decided to stay with the family to help raise their sons. A lot of moms getting stuck doing the job alone and that's an uphill climb (not impossible) at best.

Unfortunately, the problem is that these kid's fathers were just the same -- like father like son. They have no role model in their lives in the black community. The same problem is found among whites also.

It is all a part of the moral devolution that has taken hold in America and unless we can regain the values that we now reject, things will continue to get worse, not better. It is a process that is vividly described in Romans Chapter 1.

Never actually met my father. Ever. Totally ruined my mothers life and stunted my development. My 3 boys have never been a day without me. The difference is evident. Parents make the kids. Not coaches. Drill Sargeants make soldiers. Not generals.

Well said, and 100% correct! I have been saying the same thing for a long time...the more that this country wants to push God out, the worse that things will get. Everyone that lives in this great country has a false sense of security that we cannot be brought down, because we are so powerful and mighty. If people would go back to the inspired word of God and read about some of the great kingdoms in the Old Testament and how they were destroyed, then you would see that we aren't so mighty and God can destroy the greatest kingdom with the weakest army. The best example is the Roman empire.

Now, back to Alvin Kamara...VFL!! :)

Exactly. Its not just men doing it there are plenty of women who up and leave and the men raise the kids/kid by themselves.

our society should have learned something from the roman empire. the breakdown of the family unit is a huge issue and there isn't one party responsible for it. very sad seeing what is happening today.

Absolutely..Divorce is becoming the norm now, but no reason why both parents cant be equally involved in the kids. Truely sad for the kids and unfair, they didnt do anything wrong.

very true.

I will get hammered by some but the farther we stray from God the worse shape our country gets. Morals are becoming a thing of the past.
