Amazing what you miss when you're gone. Easy questions. I would've laid $5 on the first guy and taken the kid for a meal. The landscape of society may have changed a bit, but I haven't.

Full time job and a construction company. 2 kids in private school. (Our public schools suck) and a wife with 2 autoimmune issues. I'm always in need.
God gave me 2 hands and a strong desire to succeed. I think I'll just work for it.



Unlike that piece of **** I mentioned in the op.

What do you think of my attitude?

You're lucky in many respects. You already know this. Do you know the story behind the guy with the cell phone?

Ya. He's a regular pan handler. Not the first time he's approached me.
Not opposed to helping people. I just let the spirit (gut feeling) tell me who to help.
I once offered him 10$ an hr to clean up a job site.
Can you guess what he said?

No, can't. I give and let it go. Hopefully, I've done more good than not.

And I wouldn't trade my situation for anything.
I'm beyond lucky. Married to my best friend who gave me 2 sons who seem to like me.
