i think most of the Booms were for her comments about Dooley and his personal interaction with her and other recruits/families. It hasn't been easy the past few years being a Vol and having an unproven coach.

I supported CDD when he got hired and thought he would bring back one of the most important things that a program of long tradition must maintain and that is character. Top rated recruiting classes and getting a school in the press even if negative may be good in the short term but UT is a program with a long tradition. CDD has brought a positive image to Knoxville. A program like the way he is building it goes a long way in the minds of families and the recruits.

Saban very seldom will have much to say about another program or their coach, but at SEC media days he gave praise to Dooley and the job he has done at UT.

Well said, TW! I agree with you whole-heartedly on this one. :hi: And I am not one of the ones that thought MzT was hinting at something with her comments. I know for a fact that you will not get one ounce of info out of MzT as to where the kid may end up. It's always the kid's moment for that info.

CDD could still be with Saban if he didn't mind remaining as an assistant. He wanted to be a head coach and moved on. Saban has been a good friend to CDD with support
like that. I agree that Saban doesn't compliment freely which makes his words carry more weight. To me anyway.

We'll be okay.... either way. Dooley's staff know what they're doing and what kind of player they're looking for. UT will be alright!

I did give AK specific instructions. It looks like he's taking my advise. There are specific questions that need to be asked and matters layed on the table; and it indirectly has NOTHING to do with the football program specifically. Actually, coaches shouldn't even be involved in the tasks I put on AK.

I do believe AK has some serious things to think about over the next few weeks, and I do believe he should visit each school again at least twice... once by a drop in visit and the other on a game day. Drop in and just to be seen. Catch folks in their rare form; for who they really are and not their game face. Dont tell me its a homelike atmosphere and I pop up unexpectedly and can't sit in your office. lol I did Dooley like that.... and I'll say it a million times!! I LOVE MY DOOLEY i popped up on him, and my family was shown so much love it was shocking. it wasn't the staff it was me Dooley and TJ and Baggett and Hinshaw.... then some of the other coaches came out because they wanted to meet MZTERRY. Apparently I misunderstood or read too much into something that I had read earlier about Kamara and Henry having established a friendship and had discussed playing together. I apologize -- mea culpa. As always, MZTERRY brings some serious reality to the boards -- UT needs to name her "parental recruiting advisor".

I still think we will likely get one or the other of them. Tennessee just has too much to offer an elite RB over and above the other schools that have been mentioned as being in play (mostly UGA and Bama) for both of them to pass on UT.

This is very true, and the good news that we learned today from Skeet is that David Williams really likes TN. That is 5 Rivals Top 250 backs that we are in on (AK, DH, Williams, Folston, Turman)....let's hope that surely we can land one or two of them.

well everyone knows Saban hates the media, so that cant possibly be what she meant regarding him. Only the players that went to Bama and UGA can answer the caring question, anything else is just an opinion

Is sort of funny because Saban might be the only coach I know that does not allow media in spring practice, summer workouts, fall camp, or high school camps. All summer you get reports from sites how recruits are doing at camp because the recruiting guys are there. At UA they have to wait outside the gate and beg for info. The only time Saban has let them in was ESPN and I heard they paid big to get that preseason film aired.
