He has one task from each school that I asked him to do before narrows out, and it has nothing to do with football directly. He'll get a lot of unanswered questions clarified, then he'll be cleared to make his announcement.

In my experience, prayer is always the best place to start when faced with a difficult problem or choice to make (James 1:5). I would also counsel him to ask for discernment as well so he can tell when folks just want to use him and are trying to blow smoke vs when they are shooting straight with him and have his best interests at heart. Young men his age usually are not good at discerning such things, not for lack of intelligence but for lack of life experience.

The good news is that Alvin has you to guide him through the steps needed to make a valid decision. A whole lot of kids do not have that advantage.

Not trying to make any comparisons here, but that would be similar to the two Travis'....

:) Now, we see the kind of kids that our coaches are recruiting...those who have a great attitude and work ethic...Henry has this same type of character. I said it the other day that I don't think it's impossible to pull both of them...this confirms my gut feeling. We may get one, both, or neither, but we are serious players for both of them. They would be a perfect complement to each other and can use their work ethic to push each other to be even better. JMO.

I'm here and I'm ready to eat some crow if we get him. Although I never said you were wrong, just thought you were very optimistic when everyone else seemed to think we were way behind. Really hope you're deductive reasoning was on the spot this time!

If we could get Karmara and Henry I'd be doing backflips. They're the perfect compliment to one another--a silky smooth burner and a big ol' bruiser. But I'd be more than happy with just Karmara. He and Turman are my two favorites in this class who aren't named Green.

I think that it's safe to say that all of VN would be doing backflips!! We may get neither...I am seriously no insider, but I love the recruiting game and trying to put the puzzle together as to where these guys might go, especially when our Vols are in the mix. With that said, I do believe that we land at least one of Kamara/Henry. GBO! Kickoff in 36 days!

Not saying i think Kamara is or isnt a vol, he could go to uga for all i know. Just saying the coaches rave about him, for a kid not even a senior yet, he seems very focused and seems to always ask the right questions when on campus. Seems like the kid has a solid support group around him that keeps him humbled and level headed. No doubt the coaches would love to have him.

I wonder who might this be that is guiding him through the process and helping him ask the right questions?? Hmmm....
