NOOOOO, MzT, let's him make his own decisions. He's knows who's interested in him as a person, or him as a player. I only tell him of which questions to be cautious of answering and listening out for, and to be extremely cautious of the coach that says, "I'll take care of you" "I need you", "you're my number 1"..... BULL-ish!!! RUN the opposite direction. LIARS.. they'll recruit over as soon as you walk away.

And this, my fellow VFLers, is why I have been saying for a long time that I really believe that AK will choose UT. Everyone wants to think that his relationship with Croom and his mother's family is irrelevant; however, it's relevant, because MzT is guiding (not choosing for him) him through the process...giving him advice on what to be careful with, what questions to ask and how the questions are answered. She is allowing him to make the choices and ask the questions, though. If you go back and read through Croom's thread during his recruitment, MzT did the same thing...Jason chose everything, but she guided and gave advice. He may very well go to Georgia, but we continue to rise up his list, when everyone else said that we had no chance, because he never talks about us. AK chooses UT, because DD is very honest and upfront, as MzT has already told us. He doesn't sugar coat things, and feed you a bunch of lies and hot sauce. AK is one of those recruits where the hot sauce won't work.

Ok. How much, oh wise one, do you know then? I never claimed to know anything about him...I have never even met him. I am simply deducing from the info that has been given to us, and how is recruitment has gone. Same thing happens in every other recruit's thread...just because some claim to be insiders, then I guess they know that recruit.

Keep up the good work -- I have faith in you to shepherd Alvin into the Big Orange Nation if we are the right fit for him, and I believe we are.

I say that because when I try to look at his situation with a neutral eye, I still come to the conclusion that Tennessee is the best choice for him for a lot of reasons. I hope that he arrives at that same conclusion between now and NSD.

the running game will be there with all 5 offensive lineman coming back..however if you watched the OPENING ...ak has excellent hands...it would be nice to have a back that catches everything thrown his way..

Mreynoldsdvm and Mlsoft pays more attention to what i say than anyone on this board, and he's definitely chosen the right things to pay attention to. he didn't need to be an "INSIDER", just a person who comprehends what i've written well.

Is this why you have mentioned before that you and Jason will stop in the Cleveland area on your way to/from Knoxville? There are quite a few Cleveland area folks here on VN. I am sure that Austin Sanders and his dad would be glad to meet up with you, Jason and AK if you think it would help AK make a decision about UT. Austin's dad posts often in his thread if your interested at all. I'm sure your families will end up being good friends in the future. Of course you are one step ahead of the Sanders in the whole process so I am sure they could also learn alot from Momma Croom.

Family from Knoxville, Sweetwater, Athens, Cleveland & Chattanooga. We've always spent a lot of time in Tennessee before Croomster ever thought about going there. Subliminal messages all of his life. :birgits_giggle:

AK is narrowing down his top schools. When he's had an opportunity to clear his head and the season get started, who knows, maybe he'll take a break and get some of these cyber monkies off his back and announce where he's going.
