anyone hear something about schools being able to go over the 85 limit this season with PSU transfers but will lose a 'ship next year for each player they sign?

I wouldn't think it would apply if you got one of their senior players. I could see you having to if you took a player that had another year after this one.

3 games we lost due to kicking in 2009:

Florida- averaged 39 yards per punt, and got killed in the field position game.

Auburn- lost by 4 points, missed 1 field goal and 1 pat.

Alabama- I think we all remember that one.

Excellent post.:good!:

The kicking game can't be emphasized enough..It makes or breaks games and hopefully we can find a kicker that can make a game for us.

I'd love to have this guy, Redd or the kicker but there are going to be a lot of other schools contacting them too.Trying to be realistic. We already had our lucky signing of the year (Phillips)

Halfway true. Kick was blocked and roughing the kicker was called. Ball was moved to the 2 yard line and Dooley decided to go for the score. Good thing too, as we would have lost with a FG.

I'd call it semantics but technically you are correct- what I called a "miss" was actually a "block" that was kicked so low it hit the wall of players, despite being an extremely short field goal. The roughing the kicker was lucky and had nothing to do with the miss.

And you're right. If we hadn't gone for it, we would have lost.

We haven't been in situations where our kickers have had the opportunity to blow games i.e. we haven't played close games lately.. and they have simply been part of the contributing issues, now that our offense and defense are starting to improve, the games will be closer and Palarady and Darr will be obvious problems, more so than now. I have zero faith in Palarady kicking a game winner. None. I get nervous when he lines up for a extra point. Dude has zero lift on his kicks. Which is a huge problem.

I wouldn't want Palardy or Darr to kick with a game on the line if they can't even kick when it doesn't matter as much

I watched the game live and then again last weekend on ESPN 3D.

My bad, I checked the box score, and it showed that we hadn't attempted any kicks all game. Forgot it was a roughing call. That actually helped us win the game in the end probably though. I was at the game, but I can't remember for the life of me if the roughing caused him to miss the kick or if we just got lucky. I think I screamed too much at the end to remember the game clearly.

Mr Palardy,

No offense sir, but your son is not an SEC caliber kicker.

Signed,

Everyone

Funny, he is the starting place kicker for an SEC team.

Keep disregarding the fact that he hasn't been as bad as you all like to portray. Even with bold facts in your face. Every kicker misses.

Want to compare stats to other kickers who were starting their freshman and sophmore years? Heck you all want Brodus and has has made 5 PATs and 1 FG.

UT fan for life I try not to ever bash a Tennessee player..

Do you really believe kick offs out of bounds & no deeper then the 10 yard is good in college football come on man.

I am sorry & am glad you take up for him but he has far from lived up to the hype, I hope he proves me wrong this year.
