Many reasons.

In America NASCAR used to pride itself as a good old boys sport and didn't exactly welcome black fans. So in the past it's been a struggle for black fans. So now they don't have the built in fan base.

The biggest reason is money. Many blacks don't have the money, and even fewer have the interest.

Primary interest in NASCAR, casual fan of IRL. No disrespect but most F1 fans I've come across tend to be the snobby elitist of the racing world :)

I've heard sometime this year or next there will be an African American woman driver, don't watch NASCAR jus what I've heard

Betting line: How many times does she run Danica into a wall in the first race.

Over or Under 5 1/2?


Im taking the over, cause she might actually do it by accident once.

I just hope she has the talent. Sponsors won't give her the same pass as Danica gets. Black women simply aren't as marketable in this demographic as a white woman would be.

Given her age and resume I do not have my hopes really high.
