'13 TN ATH Jordan Wilkins

Didn't Hubbs say at one point that if we have a good season that he liked where we were with Wilkins? Do you think he would flip if he visited us in the fall?

I don't think he'll come to UT. I think we lost him over a year ago when he came to camp as a junior and we didn't pay him enough attention.

The thing with Clemson is how far is Dye on the pecking order. I think they are holding out for Kamara and Green.

Guess that answers that. Let's hope with a good season and maybe some subpar seasons from some other teams we are recruiting against we can regain these kids interest.

I wouldn't keep my hopes up here. He said that he is 100% done and that he will only take an OV to Auburn.

I predict auburn has a rough year and loses several recruits, but I agree, otherwise Wilkins will end up there.

Don't see how losing out on a solid 4 star in state recruit is ever a good thing.

It's a good thing because he was never coming here and him picking Auburn over Vanderbilt (who is wasting a scholarship on Wilkins' brother) potentially helps us land a top-tier RB.

Yeah, but just because he says that doesn't mean coaches will stop recruiting him, his family, and HS coaches. Until the LOI is signed I wouldn't get my hopes up if I was a fan of any of these teams.

See Brian Kimbrow or Dominique Allen for examples. Sometimes these things just work out. Having said that I would love to have had this guy but as with the Ramsey case, I am not going to jump off the bridge over it either.

his brother is walking on, but i guess i understand what youre saying... we still have to get a top tier RB. its not just gonna fall in our lap

Not supprised, If Peyton Manning were from TN we probably wouldn't have landed him either. We can't keep the top guys in-state. This one really sucks because we are in major need of an elite RB.

Don't panic...we will be fine at RB. We will get our guy...IMHO, I think that we will land Dye or Kamara. I think AK would be a great fit for our offense...can run the ball very well, but even better is that he has great hands and would be a nightmare for a LB to cover coming out of the backfield. JMO...don't flame baby avy cuz he still believes that we have a legit shot with AK.

And who did we get that was more highly touted than Kimbrow? Don't think anyone is being overly dramatic enough to find a bridge to leap off of, but as a UT fan it is bothersome when you go 0 for 2 against conference rivals for a position of need such as RB.

That was my point. We didn't get anyone more highly touted but I think the guys we did get like Young will have more success then Kimbrow. It is disappointing but I really think after we have a solid year that next year you will see us pick and choose the instate talent we want to take.

Yes
dye, wilkins, henry, tenpenny, and kamara are our tier one guys

We really need to show a running game this fall. We will take two

What about Turman? He seems every bit as talented and ranked right there with Dye. Would love Turman and one of the others mentioned as our 2.
