so CP runs a 42.9 forty ?

That's what CP said. If you ask any young man who plays a competitive sport they're the greatest in their opinion.

Let's put his 4.2s in perspective. This year no player at the combine ran faster than a 4.33. Chris Johnson ran the fastest electronically timed 40 and it was a 4.24. That's in the history of the NFL combine.

CP ran a 10.8 or something 100meter dash. That would probably fall in the 4.45-4.5 range in the 40, especially for a guy that's 6'4 cause they get started slower coming out. There are exceptions to that like ohh yeah Usain Bolt.

I watched CP's football highlights and he looks like he probably runs around 4.5 but video can be deceptive since he's a long strider.

But even if he did run 4.5 that's still fast for a guy that's 6'4 210lbs or whatever.

To sum it up...he's not running a 4.2 in this life time.

Who in the world said that?? They just haven't given any reason they'll be better.. We have plenty.. If we stay healthy, we will be a good team..

No one has to SAY it, it's just idiotic when people go "OMG LOOK AT WHAT OTHER FANS SAY!" It's on the same level as everyone running to post what ESPN says or Clay Travis says.

We also monkey stomped a team that tried to win the Big East, which scares me about as much as the ACC. We are going to beat NC State. Knock on wood, we have no weird illnesses or injuries and the bumps and bruises of a brutal SEC schedule before them.

No doubt the SEC as a whole is the best, but our record against ACC teams lately is sad. The last several games in the GA. Dome we have taken a butt stomping from the ACC. Chill out my fellow VOL fans until our team actually does something again.

Win or not, it's all in good fun.

I think people are over-looking the coaching aspect of this game. If they put together a good game plan than this could be a tough game. Dooley has shown absolutely nothing when it comes to game planning or management. And they do have talent in the secondary and a great DC.

We know, but lets not tell them that.

And the thing they don't seem to get is that we play in the NFL and play against a top 5 schedule every season. If we played in the ACC, rebuilding would have been a while lot easier. But then again, take a look at the last couple times we played ACC teams in the dome. I left at halftime both games....

They'll need a very good gameplan to shut down our wr's if all r healthy..

NC State has two things going for it UT doesnt have... better hamburger joints (Char Grill) and classier strip clubs. Thats it.

I'll be in Atlanta for the waxing.

I think the difference will be our O-line. I have a feeling all the talk of last year has really pissed these guys off. And averaging 6'9 450 doesn't hurt either. Marlin goes for 120 and 2 TDs. Not to mention Neal and our below average wr's.....ha.

If this team comes out with something to prove, like they need to with every game, I don't see us taking the loss. Crazier things have happened, though.

Good post, but next time know the difference between there, their, and they're.

It dosen't matter. If you close your eyes and I say there, their, or they're, you wouldn':crazy:t be able to tell which one I said.

We had a similar situation last year where Cincy fans felt the same way on their message board. I remember how that one ended.
