'13 VA RB Derrick Green (Michigan commit)

I've broken them down into three different categories:

Likely:
Ohio State
Oregon
Tennessee
Virginia Tech

Unlikely:
Alabama
Auburn
Miami
Michigan
Oklahoma
Oklahoma State
Ole Miss
Pittsburgh

Clemson:
Clemson

I'd love for Tennessee to get into that "Clemson" category, but I'm losing hope.
But seriously, I think the staff is gonna be on this guy all season...and who knows? Lane fell into our lap when Dabo got his knickers in a twist. And that was without Coach Graham on staff.

To do that, we would have to let the money flow

Clemson is shady

Clemson's gameday atmosphere is a HUGE selling point in recruiting, not something we have to shy away, which is what you make it sound like. Get over yourslef Tidewarrior.

Florida State quarterback Chris Rix, “Florida was loud in the Swamp. But the loudest, not only stadium, but the loudest place I have been around in my life was definitely Death Valley. I was yelling at the top of my lungs in that first series, and I couldn’t even hear what I was saying.”

I do not have to get over myself, I have seen probably 25 plus games there and feel I can make my opinion about the game day atmosphere. Sorry I do not agree with you and i also never said it was bad. But it is not the best I have been to. Please tell me when it became a board rule to agree with other posters.

You may also need to learn to read, because I never said it was not something cu did not sell. You actually were the one that went off on me about bringing up gameday and made some comment to me about. You actually made it like it was not your selling point when I said it was at every college

If you can not handle people thinking what you do about Clemson maybe you should stop reading the board because it MY opinion and nothing more

TW, you are most certainly entitled to your opinion, and I have never said Clemson had the best atmosphere. I certainly don't agree with your point that "comparing Clemson to a traditional SEC school on game day is not close." That's a joke, IMO, but if you truely believe that, then more power to you. We'll agree to disagree.

Why have you been to 25+ Clemson games, if you don't mind my asking?

Kentucky, Vandy and Miss St. are in the SEC so I guess Clemson can be compared to an SEC school

have to have a few cupcakes. need those W's to send a sec school to the national championship. and everyone knows what conference wins that game

Anyways, originally came in here b/c this is a great recruiting board and wanted to get a different perspective on Green.

I'll refrain from gettin into it with all the other Clemson banter, and can try and provide some information from our side of things, when applicable. Looks like there are a few really good players that Clemson and Tenn have made the final cut with. I think both schools will enjoy very high classes this year.

I'm just thankful our stint as a cupcake is about to be all old memories after this year. the recruits will come when big orange lights up the scoreboard every saturday. back the way it should be and has usually been

I find this interesting as well.

Best friend from HS went there on a full scholarship(not football). I also use to know one fo the coaches on staff there. And only living an hour from there why would I ever pass up a free ticket to a game if not doing anything. Like I said Clemson is one of my favorite college towns. College football, Tiger Tails, and Lake Hartwell need I say more.:toast:

I will go to any game live if I can and can always record on DVR if UA is playing. College football junkie.

He seems to have a real interest in AU and will be visiting them when he makes his south later this month.

Not a real fan IMO... If UT is playing, i'm either watching on tv or at the game. Not dvr'ing it and attending a watered down ACC game

Well, he does have little to no ties with Bama, other than them winning when he started watching college football. That and the Bear giving such an emotional speech there was a kid in attendance with a tear in his glass eye.

I will never pass up a game at a stadium in CFB. Unless it involves missing a game in TTown. And in regards to watching on TV, I never watch a UA game live on TV. Usually you will find me in a stream fly fishing all day to return home that night to watch the game on the DVR. Cann not stand all the commercials, breaks, and halftime commentary. I just want to watch the game.

like your style to an extent. A lot depends on who they are playing, but typically I'm at the stadium for the big games.

I would attend most any game and miss a UT game live on TV. Usually it's a full day event with travel and tailgating leading up to it.

I do however turn down going to Vandy games if the Vols game overlaps it any bit. I will add that there is a big difference between Vandy and a team like Clemson.

UA is alot longer drive and with young kids it is even longer. Actually taking my 4yo daughter to her 1st game this fall in TTown but she will also go with me to Knoxville as well. I get my mom every year tickets for one UT game and always the AL game.

I will travel to the bigger games as well. Like I went to the UA vs PSU game last year. But yes the tailgating and everything that comes with it makes it alot better than watching on TV. I have alot of friends who are season ticket holders for their school because they are alum. Like USC, UT, UGA, PSU, VT, and many ACC schools. So I go to alot each year.

Its like trying to compare watching a MLB on TV or actually going to the stadium. No comparison, always better at the stadium.

Tiger Tails is one of the best college bars in the country. Was my go to place while in grad school, and Esso on Thursday nights for $0.25 chicken tenders and the Thursday night game on the projector in the parking lot. The pure college atmosphere of Clemson is undeniable and unrivaled by many schools. Not a big fan of the athletic program, mostly due to their fans SEC inferiority complex, but there's no denying theres an aura that surrounds that town and campus.

Derrick Green was officially offered by the University of Georgia on Tuesday night. This most recent offer puts Green at 34 total offers. Green said that he was excited about the UGA offer & that UGA will definitely be getting a visit soon. Per Rivals.com.

Glad I'm not the only one you troll.

Dorian O'Daniel (Top LB, Clemson commit) was interviewed recently on his recruitment of his teammate Kendall Fuller, amongst others, to CU.

"I'm going to talk to Demarcus Robinson more while I'm here, and I know Derrick Green almost commited to Clemson the night I did. He has a top 10 now and hopefully he makes a decision before spots close up."
