If this is accurate I am feeling even better about our chances. I felt it was between duke and Tennessee as of recently, so if this is his current list of schools on him hardest I feel even better about Nichols becoming a Vol.

As I just said above, I'm not overlooking or dismissing them, but I'd be surprised, especially UVA. Florida has been in it for awhile, but as I said for awhile it has been tennessee and duke, the order of which isn't clear, and everyone else seeming to be trailing those 2.

That would be strange if Duke just stopped recruiting Nichols. Did Nichols cool on Duke, or the other way around? :question:

I doubt it's either one, all that was said are the schools recruiting him te hardest. Duke obviously isn't throwing the kitchen sink at him, that's all. I'd say both sides are definitely still interested in each other, but like I said, Nichols may not be dukes top target where as he is for schools like Tennessee.

Well I doubt that schools like UNC, Ohio State, and Kansas are throwing the kitchen sink at him, either, but they're mentioned. Of course Nichols is most likely still heavily considering Duke, but the fact that they weren't mentioned while Kansas and Ohio State were tells me that one side may have cooled on the other.

Or maybe it's just all a misunderstanding, and Nichols' father just forgot to list Duke. :lol:

I don't get the UVA interest either, but UF goes without saying, what with him trying out for Donovan's U18 squad and the Florida-M33M connection. UVA and UF are both getting a lot of buzz re: Nichols right now.

It's not Donovan's U-18 squad. It's the USA squad. Nichols would have tried out for the opportunity to represent his country if Bozo the Clown was coaching it. It is merely coincidence that Donovan is the coach and should be no reflection in Nichols' interest level in Florida. It certainly doesn't hurt Florida's chances to have Donovan around him everyday for a week (though he did cut him), but I don't think Nichols tried out for the team based even loosely on Donovan's connection to it.

Well you asked since when are they the favorite, I don't think that was MC's implication. And UVA has been mentioned with Nichols pretty frequently for about the last 2 months.

He really likes coach Bennett from UVA from what he has said, and really is attracted by Bennett's strong faith.

Do your homework son, I was calling Stokes to UT in early/mid-December (Dec. 12-13). I've yet to be wrong about a prediction I've put on this board.

Saying that there is buzz between UVA and Nichols isn't a prediction though. You guys get so defensive when I imply that Nichols to UT isn't a lock or Stokes wasn't always planning on attending UT. Quit being such a homer, VolsFan4eva.

Me neither. The fact that Donovan got free face time with Nichols at the tryouts doesn't hurt Florida's chances with the kid, though.
