Yes, but they only count $1 for $1. You can use them to pay things like your electric bill, cable, internet, insurance, and any other bills you may have.

You can put up to $500 on a single card. It cost $6 to activate the card.

So 4 cards will get you $2 off a gallon. Your savings if you do nothing, but Visa giftcards will be $70 - $20 = $50

So buy using Visa giftcards you will still have great savings you just reduce your savings by 28%

When I shopped at BI-LO they had a fuel perks thing where you save $0.05 a gallon for every $50 spent. Anyway it's like $2.98 around here now.

Cheapest gas I ever had came from this local taco stand that sets up outside the FavoriteMarket....just sayin...wow :focus:

cheapest I had, was Sunday driving to Northwest Arkansas.
filled up outside LR, and it was $3.29

BTW someone said you are better off using a credit card and getting the points in this thread. I buy the gift cards with a credit card. So I get Frequent Flyer mile points as well and just pay it off when I get paid.

Nope

Initially spent $100 for Home Depot, $100 for Target, $25 for Babies R Us and $25 for TJ Maxx, gave us a thousand points.

Then, we are in the midst of a kitchen reno and my wife found the faucet she wanted at Lowes, do instead of just buying it, we went to Kroger and bought a $200 gift card- another 800 points.

Total of 1800 points and $1.80 off per gallon

On a side note, we used our Delta American express and also got the frequent flyer miles.

Chattanooga has been hovering around $3.04 a gallon just about anywhere you for the past week or so. Hoping it will drop under three bucks and be able to use my fuel perks from Bi-Lo and get gas for under 2 bucks a gallon in a long time.
