HBO's "Game of Thrones"

Speaking of Ser Jorah (I'm not hunting for spoilers here) I've put 2 and 2 together and figured out that the the guy at The Wall is obviously Jorah's father. Will this ever come into play or not really? Again no spoilers just yes or no.

anyone else feel like, this show almost requires you to read the book or you missing some of the details? reading the book you see Theon's point of view toward the Starks. didn't get that from the show. did the Starks treat him well? yes extremely, but the end of the day he was a prize of war. his own family looked at him as Stark property. no wonder he wanted to prove himself. great show, great books.

I thought they demonstrated his viewpoint, and conflict pretty well. As much as I despise him, I do pity his position a bit. Have not read books. Will not until maybe season 4 or so. I'd rather watch first.

So having just finished book 2 I'm a little confused about the "Reek" character that ended up sacking Winterfell. I get that he was actually a knight and connected to the Bolton's (IIRC). I don't recall how he ended up as a Winterfell prisoner pretending to be just some common slog (hiding his identity).

So a couple more questions:

1. do the brothers of the Black know what dragon glass is needed for? I know they found a stash and in the book, one or two make weapons from it but was that done with knowledge of it's use or just because it could make a good weapon.

2. the wights led by the WW at the end of the season show was not in Book 2 - I assume they were borrowing some content from Book 3?

I finally watched all of Season 2. The deviations from the book did not bother me. IMO, Blackwater (the battle for King's Landing) was the best episode of the year. While reading, I imagined Stannis to be a less complex character than how he was depicted on the show. I liked the way that many of the main characters were presented with the option of retreating into quieter, comfortable lives or continuing to struggle for the throne.

The actual "Reek" was a servant of Lord Bolton's bastard Ramsay Snow. Ramsay appropriated his identity to get in with Theon and sack Winterfell.

I heard book three will cover the next two seasons. If so, its gonna be epic.

Arya, Jon Snow, and Jaimie Lannister ftw.

Wow two seasons? That's great. IMO game of thrones should have a total of 20 seasons. Yep only then will I be orgasmic.

If they do cut it into two seasons I'm pretty sure I know what the third finale would cover.
